On the Thursday, December 4 broadcast of Comedy Central's "The Colbert Report," host Stephen Colbert covered the ambassadorship of "The Bold and the Beautiful" producer Colleen Bell, wife of head writer and executive producer, Bradley P. Bell, with a hilarious take on the drama surrounding her confirmation following some lively comments from Senator John McCain, who strongly disagreed with President Obama's choice of Bell for the position. “We’re about to vote on a totally unqualified individual to be ambassador to a nation which is very important to our national security interest. Her qualifications are as a producer of the television soap opera ‘The Bold and The Beautiful,’ contributed 800,000 [dollars] to Obama in the last election and bundled more than $2.1 million for President Obama’s re-election effort,” said McCain on the Senate floor on Tuesday, December 2, just before Bell was confirmed as the U.S. Ambassador to Hungary with a vote of 52-42.

An odd question for sure, but while on his book tour promoting his newest title, "The Andy Cohen Diaries: A Deep Look at a Shallow Year," Bravo TV executive and "Watch What Happens Live" host Andy Cohen was recently posed the question, "If Susan Lucci [ex-Erica Kane, 'All My Children'] showed up at your door naked, what would you do?" For reference: He'd give her a robe!

"Last Week Tonight with John Oliver" has been entertaining millions of late night talk show fans since debuting earlier this year as an escape from late night talk shows. The premise of the HBO series is that host John Oliver takes a closer look at the happenings of the past week in terms of news, politics and social media, and culls it altogether into one half hour of entertainment that seeks to empower and inform its viewers. In a segment highlighting a "CBS This Morning" report on a device known as the Salmon Cannon, Oliver, who was so in awe of the Salmon Cannon concept, gives viewers insight into the purpose (it helps push the Salmon that typically get caught in hydroelectric dams over said dams) and decided to make his own, which resulted in the flying fish hitting several of television's biggest stars including "The Young and the Restless'" Sharon Case (Sharon Newman) during a made up "Y&R" scene featuring co-star Joshua Morrow (Nicholas Newman) as the two fight over Sharon's hidden secrets.

In the midst of “The Bold and the Beautiful” gearing up for an exciting storyline in Amsterdam, which will begin airing Friday, November 7, the show’s stars Scott Clifton (Liam), Kim Matula (Hope), Ashleigh Brewer (Ivy) and Darin Brooks (Wyatt) dropped by CBS’ “The Talk” to discuss the twists and turns ahead. Why stop at being a hot soap actor when you can be a hot soap actor and a hot correspondent for “Extra?” That seems to be the thinking of “General Hospital” star Ryan Paevey (Nathan West), who has stepped into the role of TV journalist for the popular entertainment show, managing to not only snag an interview with “GH” executive producer Frank Valentini, but also to get the scoop on the drama headed toward Port Charles during November Sweeps!

If you tuned into the Friday, October 24 episode of ABC's "General Hospital," you may have noticed a familiar face with a new do. Actress Kelly Sullivan returned as the spirit of Connie Falconeri, who was murdered last year by Ava Jerome (Maura West), in scenes with Maurice Benard's Sonny Corinthos. The return of a normally blonde Sullivan to "GH" comes just days before the actress is set to make her debut as a brunette Sage Warner on CBS' "The Young and the Restless."

If you tuned into today's episode of CBS' "The Young and the Restless," you likely saw the "Next On..." segment, which highlights what's happening on the next episode of the daytime drama series, and you probably thought you were seeing things when a clip of Elizabeth Hendrickson appearing as Chloe Mitchell was shown. No, you're not going crazy!

After 21 years portraying Sami Brady on NBC's "Days of our Lives," you'd think Alison Sweeney would have forgotten some of her characters' storyline plot points, but you'd be wrong. Appearing on the Wednesday, October 1 episode of "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," as part of its Breast Cancer Awareness Month day one episode, Sweeney took part in the segment "30 Seconds or Else," only she didn't exactly know what the "else" was (presumably water).

When Sam (Kelly Monaco) inadvertently enters his room when her son runs away from her to be by John Doe's side, Sam is inadvertently reunited with her husband and the father of her child, but does she realize it? Does her son, Danny?

"It's one of the funniest shows we've shot in so long. Everybody is in the show. It's a bachelor and a bachelorette party, everything goes wrong, everybody had so much fun. I mean, we had fun shooting it, the characters were having a great time at this party. It really was almost like 'The Hangover' [the movie] kind of," shared Sharon Case (Sharon) in a joint interview with Joshua Morrow (Nicholas) set to air today on Hallmark Channel's "Home & Family."

As previously reported, "The Young and the Restless'" Nicholas (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) are heading down the aisle one more time, but before the happy occasion can take place, they along with several of their closest friends and family members are heading to lockup! Set to air on Tuesday, September 30, CBS has released a first look clip of the pre-celebration of the joining of the high school sweethearts, who are determined to put the past behind them and face the future together once more.

"The Young and the Restless'" Joshua Morrow (Nicholas Newman) was nominated for the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge by CBS Daytime Senior Vice President Angelica McDaniel and he's gladly accepted!

He's had starring roles on "All My Children," "As The World Turns," "Guiding Light" and currently "Days of our Lives" as Aiden Jennings, but despite his long soap career as a serious actor you'd be surprised to learn what hidden talent Daniel Cosgrove keeps close to the vest. In a recent visit to the Burbank Studios, where "DAYS" is filmed, Soap Opera Network was given an exclusive and rare opportunity of witnessing Cosgrove beatboxing. Yes, you read that right.

In the final segment of the Friday, May 30 episode of ABC's "General Hospital," the real Luke Spencer (Anthony Geary) asked the question, "Who are you?" to the person who has been impersonating him for the past several months. To amp up the drama, fans were treated to a chilling scene in which somber music played in the background as Fluke (aka: Fake Luke) responded and said, "Who am I? That's the million-dollar question, isn't it? Who do I look like? You? Lucas Lorenzo Spencer? But you want to know who is behind the face. You want to know who's pulling the strings, doing the dance. You want to know whose big, buzzing brain is behind this genius plan. Let me tell you in the simplest possible terms. Wouldn't you like to know?" Fluke then winked at Luke.

On "General Hospital," Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) desperately wants to find out if Ava (Maura West) is really pregnant before he shoots her following last week's revelation that she, not AJ, was responsible for the death of his former lover, Connie Falconeri.
