On the Tuesday, October 27, 2026 episode of ‘Beyond the Gates’, Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) lost a friend, Dani (Karla Mosley) and Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) had a post-Kalista chat, and Heather (Ashley Jones) continued making a play for Andre (Sean Freeman).
I’ve Seen The Future And It Will Be
Dani came upon Hayley noshing on breakfast at the country club. When Dani objected to Hayley’s presence, Hayley gloated that Leslie had given her a guest pass, and that, when it really came down to it, she and Dani weren’t really all that different – they had both made an attempt on Bill’s life. Dani was restrained from reacting by the arriving Vernon (Clifton Davis) and Anita (Tamara Tunie); Vernon privately told Hayley that she wouldn’t like Marcel returning to finish his dismemberment job as an incentive for Hayley to leave the premises.
With Bill always at his office to avoid his empty home, Caroline (Ellie Wang) encouraged him to break bread with her somewhere away from it. Bill chose the country club, where he and Caroline ran into Hayley; Caroline and Hayley traded barbs, while Bill declared that he had no desire to trifle with trash. Upon entering the banquet room, Bill saw Dani and her parents and decided to see if Dani would accept his regrets for Kalista announcing their tryst while being interviewed by Tia Allen.
Transcend
Dani agreed to let Bill have his say – after he swore that he’d only consented to being Tia’s guest because he’d wanted to lift Dani up and make some things up to her by publicly owning his mistakes, Dani saw that Bill had been as ambushed by Kalista as she had been. Despite letting Bill off the hook, Dani said that the incident had all the more made her realize there was no sense in dwelling on the past. She determined to focus solely on the future and advised Bill to do the same.
As Bill and Dani conversed, Anita fretted about Dani couldn’t keep running to Bill every time something was wrong. Vernon discussed the conversation he’d had with Dani and the vow she’d made that she would stop putting any issues with Bill ahead of Andre. Anita was glad to hear this and moved on to the revelation that she could finally go into the studio to re-record with The Articulettes. Vernon knew how much Anita had worked to restore her voice, and Anita said Sharon and Tracy would be coming over later.
Outsiders
Vanessa found Randy (Maurice P. Kerry) at Orphey Gene’s and demanded to know if he’d been privy to the fact that Hayley had been poisoning Bill. Randy lied and denied any involvement, but Vanessa still thought it was suspect that Randy had kept secret the fact that he and Hayley were cousins. Vanessa called Randy out for being seen in public with Hayley as “Sammy,” then walked out on him after stressing that he could have saved her friends a lot of heartache had he spoken up.
Hayley summoned Randy to her hotel room, wanting to complain about “those damn Duprees.” Randy felt Hayley had deserved their tongue lashing for dining on their territory and was surprised that Hayley hadn’t thrown her pregnancy in their faces. Hayley admitted she’d been tempted, but she wanted to keep her “stowaway” to herself until she could get confirmation she was pregnant beyond the home test she’d taken. She’d have to go elsewhere besides Garland, but once she was certain about the baby, she’d revel in blasting the news to any and all Duprees.
Black Butterfly
Ashley (Jen Jacob) chatted with Shanice (Ernestine Johnson) at the nurses station, agreeing that the 6-bedroom, 8-bathroom home Ted was keen on was too much for workaday people like them. Shanice had only ever seen properties like that on reality TV, and she didn’t want to have to use GPS just to get around in one. Meanwhile, Ted (Keith D. Robinson) brought Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix) her favorite coffee and assured his ex that he and Shanice were only looking at houses that weren’t in her direct vicinity.
Nicole appreciated Ted’s consideration, but told him that it wasn’t necessary for him to run his plans by her. Emphasizing the point, when everyone convened at the nurses’ station, Nicole let Shanice know that she was happy for her and Ted. Shanice thanked Nicole for her support, glad that they could still be friends “under the circumstances.” After that, Shanice and Ted left to go house hunting in Fairmont Crest; Ashley was concerned that Nicole was play acting for Ted’s benefit, but Nicole was certain that she was doing fine, especially since she had moved on herself, with Kial.
Evil Is Going On
Andre met with Martin (Brandon Claybon) at Uptown, as Martin was dismayed that Ted wasn’t opening up to him about his wedding plans. Martin was relieved after Andre said that Ted was relying on him as best man as a way to take any pressure off of Martin, particularly with Smitty facing jail time. Needing a confidant, Martin admitted that he was all right with losing his election, but he didn’t want to lose Smitty, nor did he want to see Samantha and Tyrell going through the agony of one of their dads being in jail.
As Martin and Andre agreed that The Impaler was a “petty son-of-a-bitch” for targeting Smitty simply because of the articles he’d written, Heather accosted the men and told Martin how sorry she was that “Bradley” was under suspicion; Heather also pretended she was meeting Andre for the first time. After she sauntered away, Martin relayed Nicole’s fury at Heather approaching Tyrell and Samantha. Andre said that Martin should trust Nicole’s instincts regarding Heather and wished that Dani would as well.
Playing Games
Martin left to discuss his plunging poll numbers with Vernon, so Heather immediately sat across from Andre in his booth. Heather ominously told Andre she didn’t like him disrespecting her, nor had she been fond of Dani telling her that none of the women in Andre’s life before Dani had mattered. Andre had to acknowledge Heather’s reminder of their recent kiss, but said it was difficult for him to be friends with her when she was coming on so strong.
Heather cooed that the “will they/won’t they” thing they had going was hot, and Andre jerked his hand away when Heather caressed it. Later, Vanessa found Heather and apologized for Joey turning their dinner into “fancy Lunchables.” Heather pouted when Vanessa had to meet with clients instead of going to the spa with her. Vanessa then sat down with Ted and Shanice to make their home purchase official; they had settled on a Fairmont Crest house with “only” four bedrooms and four bathrooms, and they couldn’t move in until after their Christmas wedding. Still, they looked forward to taking up residence on Primrose Lane.
