On the Friday, October 23, 2026 episode of ‘Beyond the Gates’, Heather’s obsession with knives continued, Andre (Sean Freeman) and Ted (Keith D. Robinson) remembered a fallen comrade, and it wasn’t just Leslie’s TMI comments that had Hayley feeling sick.
Sorry For The Stupid Things
Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) looked up from poring over pictures of Dani, surprised Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) had come to see him, given how his cheating on Dani with Kalista had become public knowledge the day before. Naomi laid the blame solely at Kalista’s feet and hinted that she had regrets about her own marriage. When Bill asked for elaboration, Naomi explained how Jacob had released a string of bottled-up resentments, none of which she had been aware of.
Naomi said that she and Jacob had determined to better their communication skills, and Bill advised Naomi to cherish her mate, the way he hadn’t his. Sensing that Bill’s thoughts were with Dani after he said he wasn’t interested in dating, Naomi reminded her father that her mother was taken. Bill was fully aware and even said he was happy for Dani, since she now had a man who was treating her right. Naomi felt that Bill deserved happiness as well, but he countered that perhaps Hayley had been his karma for what he had done to Dani.
Two Reasons I Cry
At the country club, Dani (Karla Mosley) was on a call with Andre, feeling bad that she was complaining to him about finding out there had been yet another woman in Bill’s harem while they’d been married. Andre respected Dani’s emotional process and resolved that the reveal had just once again proven how trifling Bill was. Dani deemed Andre angelic for understanding her latest upset about her ex-husband.
Andre then visited Ted at his office at the hospital, where they bantered over what kind of bachelor party Ted should have. Ted felt a bit sorry for Bill being exposed, since he knew what it was like to have one’s dirty laundry aired in public. Andre maintained that Ted had only cheated with one person, not many like Ted had. Ted noticed how Andre was letting Dani’s most recent disappointment in Bill roll off his back, amazed that the one-time playboy had become a devoted husband; Ted smiled that he saw a lot of Andre’s deceased father, Stan Richardson, in him. Andre confessed that he still missed his parents.
The Edge Of The Blade
Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) saw Heather (Ashley Jones) lingering in the country club lobby and introduced herself, annoying Heather with her “twenty questions” routine. When Heather divulged that Joey was her brother, Leslie smirked that Joey was her partner – in the clinic named for Vanessa’s husband, Leslie clarified, sighing, “Lord rest his gambling soul.” Heather and Leslie found each other interesting, but they also not-too-subtly let each other know that they couldn’t be messed with.
Dani was thrilled to see Heather and immediately confided in her about the mess with Bill. Heather wanted to know how much Dani knew about Andre’s past; as Dani pivoted and droned about how wonderful Andre was, Heather picked up a knife and stabbed Dani repeatedly in the chest!…in her fantasy. Later hearing that Nicole had okayed ex-husband Ted moving into Fairmont Crest with Shanice, Heather grinned that such an arrangement “might make me murderous.”
Push It
Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) found a frisky Joey (Jon Lindstrom) at the casino, but wasted no time ruining his mood by trying to convince him to invite Heather to dinner with them. Joey conceded that he had missed Heather the years she’d been gone, but the previous version of her – not the one who existed now. Vanessa left for work just as Randy (Maurice P. Kerry) arrived; Randy and Joey had an open conversation about the difficulties of family, and Randy assured Joey that he and Hayley were blood cousins, nothing more.
Joey still felt that Hayley having information on him that she could use at any time was a threat, and he wanted to figure out how to neutralize her without resorting to violence, since Vernon had put the kibosh on that tactic. Randy reported that he was working to get back in Hayley’s good graces so he could extract intel from her about her future plans and pass them along to Joey; he still worried that Joey might strike at Hayley in a more permanent way. Joey advised Randy to just look out for himself.
Mama’s Hand
Hayley (Marquita Goings) was at Orphey Gene’s, seemingly happy to see Randy – until she wondered where her satisfactory new ID was. Randy was irritated that Hayley couldn’t be around him without wanting something, but presented her with another fake driver’s license and passport: this time she was to be Carey Jenner, a nanny. Hayley didn’t want to have anything to do with kids, yet Randy argued that playing such a role would get her in the home of one of the Hollywood money men she wanted to bilk. Randy proceeded to slather ketchup on his macaroni and cheese, which made Hayley grimace.
Afterwards, Leslie insinuated herself on Hayley, noticing that she was eating a hot fudge sundae for breakfast. It annoyed Hayley when Leslie observed that Hayley had gained weight, and as Leslie changed the topic to Marcel and what he could do with his “magic mustache,” Hayley gagged and had to run to the bathroom. Then, Hayley was seen in her suite at the Bowman, nervously watching a timer. When it went off, Hayley picked up a home pregnancy test, whose indicator said she was carrying a child. “No!” Hayley screamed as she threw the apparatus as hard as she could.
