On the Wednesday, September 23, 2026, episode of “Beyond the Gates,” Joey (Jon Lindstrom) got an MTV sneak preview video, Marcel (Darryl W. Handy) caught on, and Dani (Karla Mosley) dodged a bullet – figuratively and literally.
Buy Back The Block
Randy (Maurice P. Kerry) brought Joey his report on the sale of Uptown to Heather: she had offered all cash, waived inspections to speed the sale, and had her goons intimidate the owner to the point that he immediately left town. Joey didn’t think it was a good idea for Randy to speculate that Heather would be using Uptown to conduct Impaler business. Later, Randy’s surveillance revealed that Heather had had a visitor to her hotel room: Andre.
Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) stopped by Dani’s house to see her, but Andre (Sean Freeman) shared that Dani was out. Andre perked up when the conversation turned to Heather and how upset Nicole had been to find Heather with her grandchildren. Vanessa answered Andre’s careful question about whether Joey had been pissed at that revelation by saying that Joey and Heather seemed to be engaged in a sort of cold war. She was certain that Nicole would soon warn Dani to stay away from Heather, as Nicole had with her.
Threats To Everybody
Joey was shocked to get a text from Andre, who arranged for them to meet up in an alley. Andre explained how he had had a fling with Joey’s sister in London – and how he had ghosted Heather after accidentally catching something on video. Joey suspected that Heather had sent Andre to get intel on him; Andre frantically whipped out his phone and nearly begged Joey to watch the video cued up on it.
Joey’s face stiffened as he stared at Andre’s device. After Andre appealed to Joey for help, Joey confiscated his phone, adamant that if Heather saw the video, she would know Andre had taken it – and clearly, Andre knew how dangerous Heather was. Andre didn’t care about his own safety – he just wanted Dani kept out of the whole matter. Seeing Andre’s sincerity, Joey agreed to handle things but warned Andre to forget that they had ever talked.
When Vanessa went to the Lakeview, she found not Joey, but Randy, whose shrouded reply about Joey’s whereabouts led her to believe they had something to do with Heather. Despite Vanessa asking Randy for his take on Heather, Randy declined to give it, and Vanessa figured that whatever news Randy had whispered into Joey’s ear had to do with his sister as well. If Heather really was a threat, Vanessa said, she hoped that Randy would warn her. Randy said it was his way to assume everyone was a threat until proven otherwise.
Everybody Plays The Fool
Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) stirred in his hospital bed, finding Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla) in the room. Chelsea promised that Madison hadn’t betrayed his confidence about his being there, though she was shocked that Dani had also known – and that Dani had been with Bill when he’d become unresponsive. Bill confessed that things hadn’t been right with Hayley for a while, and that he was beginning to wonder if he had really known the woman he had married.
Chelsea understood, based on her experiences with Allison – she knew what it was like to learn a partner wasn’t as advertised, and how she’d examined all past interactions with Allison for signs that should have been caught. However, Chelsea disagreed with Bill’s contention that Hayley had been lying simply because she didn’t want to deal with Bill’s shaky health. Bill chided himself for trading Dani in for a “starter marriage” with Hayley, questioning what kind of man that decision had made him.
Putcha Gun Away
“Welcome home, Hayley,” Dani sing-songed when Hayley (Marquita Goings) found her pressed against her living room wall. “Though you won’t be living here much longer.” Hayley threatened to have Dani arrested for trespassing until Dani cried that she knew Hayley had been poisoning Bill. Dani urged Hayley to call the police so she could show them Bill’s life insurance policy and prenup, which stated that Hayley would get no money if she committed adultery. Her next step, Dani promised, would be to have Bill tested for “every poison known to man.”
Just then, Hayley pulled a gun on Dani, smirking, “Gotta love a full circle moment, don’t you?” Dani screamed for help, but Hayley claimed she would simply say she accidentally shot a home invader, not knowing who it was. She relished that neither Dani nor Bill would be around anymore to stand in her way and readied to pull the trigger as she grinned that she’d soon be at her house in St. Bart’s…
…suddenly an armed Jacob burst in, forcing Hayley to drop her weapon. Hayley played up Dani’s breaking and entering to the hilt, but Dani screeched that Hayley had just attempted to kill her, plus confessed to poisoning Bill. Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) stood by Dani, and Jacob (Jibre Hordges) decided to detain all three ladies, putting Hayley in handcuffs. Hayley asked to go to the bathroom, but Dani was certain Hayley would try to get rid of her evidence if allowed to; Jacob instead led Hayley away.
Sound Of Da Police
At the station, Hayley again asked to go to the washroom, seeming annoyed when Jacob ordered an escort for her. Dani told Jacob that Bill was in the hospital, which Hayley didn’t know, and that she had only broken into his house to find the poison she was positive Hayley was giving Bill, since she had personally witnessed his collapse. Jacob acknowledged Dani’s frustration, though he insisted on doing things by the book, else Bill could convince a jury that Hayley was innocent while Dani was the lawbreaker.
Back from the restroom, Hayley saw that Naomi sat facing the other way; spying a wastebasket, she reached for the bottle of poison hidden in her cleavage. Yet Marcel saw Hayley’s move and forced her to reveal the container she held. Hayley was taken into custody, and Marcel praised the “brave and reckless Dani” for searching the home of an attempted murderer. Dani vowed to Naomi that Hayley would go to prison for a long time.
Jacob wanted to hear Hayley’s side of the story, but she refused to divulge anything without a lawyer present. When Hayley said she couldn’t call Bill because he was out of town, Jacob nearly gave away that he knew Bill was over at Garland Memorial. In Bill’s absence, Hayley decided to retain the services of the next-best thing, Tomas!
