On the Friday, September 25, 2026, episode of “Beyond the Gates,” Randy (Maurice P. Kerry) felt his control loosening, Hayley (Marquita Goings) inadvertently stepped between Kat (Colby Nixon) and Tomas (Alex Alegria), and Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) used her powers for ill.
Can’t We Just Sit Down (And Talk It Over)
Kat found Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla) at Orphey Gene’s, gently asking why she had been AWOL when a new purse was coming out. Chelsea explained that her father was in the hospital again, and that Madison was running tests. The cousins were stunned when Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) arrived and updated them on how Hayley had held Dani at gunpoint – and how it had been proven she had been poisoning Bill.
As Hayley was being handcuffed at the station, she saw Bill (Timon Kyle Durrett) and began sobbing that Dani had framed her for attempted murder. Bill scoffed that Dani couldn’t have gotten the same poison found on Hayley into his system and decided he was losing IQ points listening to her lies. Bill walked out on her; she screamed for him to come back. Then Jacob (Jibre Hordges) began processing Hayley, taking her mug shot and fingerprints as Leslie watched intently.
Sunset People
Joey (Jon Lindstrom) sat in his back room thinking about the video Andre had shown him. He called one of his henchmen to keep an eye on Vanessa, then told the entering Randy to go around town and make sure Heather didn’t buy up any more businesses. Talk turned to Hayley’s arrest, with Joey doubling down on his demand that Randy stay away from her. At the same time, Randy had to take a frantic call from Hayley in front of Joey; despite her pleas for him to pay her bail, Randy barked that he was in the middle of something and couldn’t talk.
Heather (Ashley Jones) spotted Andre (Sean Freeman) outside of Uptown, cooing that they could have spent the night together since Dani had spent hers in jail. Andre reiterated that he was in love with Dani, but Heather felt he was protesting too much and asked him not to keep her waiting too long.
Bad Girls
While Hayley waited for Randy to bail her out, Tomas told her he could no longer represent her now that he knew the facts. Meanwhile, Naomi was telling Kat how Tomas had come to Hayley’s aid, prompting Kat to head to the law firm to give her boyfriend a piece of her mind. Tomas explained that he had thought Hayley had been wrongly accused and immediately dropped her when he found out otherwise. It bothered him that Kat could think he could be so stupid, and he sighed that their pattern of misreading each other’s intentions was getting old.
Leslie, having watched Hayley’s entire arrest and her attempt to get Randy to pay her bond, opted to front the amount instead – for her “bestie.” Later, Hayley ran to Randy, complaining that she had been blocked from accessing Fairmont Crest – she couldn’t go home to clean up, and Bill had canceled her credit cards, so she couldn’t afford a hotel. Randy offered her the petty cash he had taken from Joey’s lockbox for Hayley’s bail; she snatched it out of his hand and skulked out without so much as a “thank you.”
The Queen Is Back
Although Izaiah (Lami) had spent all morning in bed with Eva (Ambyr Michelle), he still wanted her to go to work late and tempted her by preparing a meal. However, their romantic moment was spoiled by Leslie, who couldn’t wait to spill her “hot cup of tea”: Hayley had been arrested for trying to kill Bill. While Eva couldn’t reconcile that with Hayley’s apparent love for Bill, Leslie squawked that she had “clocked” Leslie the whole time.
Both Eva and Izaiah were appalled when Leslie announced that she had bailed Hayley out of jail, claiming that Hayley wasn’t a threat to anyone except Bill. Izaiah revealed that Hayley had flirted with him in the past and wondered if Bill should have been told. Leslie decided Hayley had provided her payback, since Bill was the reason Eva had had a rough childhood; she reminded Eva that, had Bill had his way, she wouldn’t even have been born.
Eva frowned, realizing she had nothing against Bill, and realized that Leslie had other motives for making Hayley’s bail besides wanting to be her best friend. Leslie crowed that, indeed, paying the suspect’s bond had been an investment – because there could well come a day when she would need Hayley to repay the favor.
She Works Hard For The Money
Joey tracked Heather to Uptown; she was surprised he had located her himself, since she had been having fun outwitting his goons. After trading banter with Joey, Heather finally asked why he had come to see her. Joey said he was hoping to find the sister he used to know, the one who had never been ruthless. Heather replied that she had grown up and grown tired of people walking all over her; she’d learned to demand the respect other people asked for. Joey called his mission a “fool’s errand” as he got up and left.
Heather then saw Randy taking a seat at the bar, assuming it was part of his surveillance of her. Randy, who had just learned that the cops knew about the poison he had supplied Hayley with, and that she was willing to give him up if she had to, declared his presence had nothing to do with Heather – he had a different crazy lady he had to deal with.
Andre visited Jacob at the precinct, glad to see that justice was being served in Bill’s case, and made cryptic comments about criminals being caught. Afterward, Andre went to Joey and asked him to speed up his handling of Heather. Joey was aware of the seriousness of what Andre had caught on video but did not want to be instructed on the timing of how he dealt with it. He would take care of the matter when and how he saw fit, he told Andre, and without Andre’s input.
The Hostage
Dani (Karla Mosley) brought Bill back to the hospital, where Ashley (Jen Jacob) hooked him up to an IV full of an antidote that would counteract Hayley’s poison. When Bill lamented blowing up his family for Hayley, Dani shrugged that she and Naomi had been fooled by Hayley as well — Dani had even suggested that Bill hire Hayley at the firm, she reminded him. Though Dani had many other things to express to Bill, she tabled them in favor of letting Bill get better. Bill anticipated the round of “I told you so”s he’d have to endure from the Duprees.
With Dani gone, Hayley seductively breezed into Bill’s hospital room – he tried to hit his call button to alert someone, but Hayley slapped it out of his hand. Bill erupted that he had given Hayley everything and it still wasn’t good enough for her “gold-digging ass” – now he was going to divorce her, file a restraining order against her, and call in “every goddamn favor” he could to make sure Hayley got the maximum sentence. After Bill called her a “sorry, evil bitch,” Hayley’s tone turned cold. “That’s not how this ends,” she said menacingly about Bill’s plans to extricate her from his life.
