As we get closer to daytime’s biggest night, taking place on Sunday, May 1, the industry is abuzz today over which actors were submitted for a pre-nomination for the “The 43rd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards,” presented by The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS). With at least two actors per show for each category (exception being Supporting Actress) several of daytime television’s biggest and brightest stars are looking to vie for the coveted trophy that celebrates their hard work during calendar year 2015.

“The Bold and the Beautiful’s” Heather Tom (Katie Logan) is joining fellow daytime actresses Alison Sweeney (ex-Sami Brady, “Days of our Lives”), Kimberly McCullough (Robin Scorpio, “General Hospital”) and even former colleague Susan Flannery (ex-Stephanie Forrester) from in front of the camera to behind-the-scenes: The soap star directed the Tuesday, January 5 episode of the CBS daytime drama series!

“Twenty-eight years on television is a tremendous achievement,” said “The Bold and the Beautiful” Executive Producer and Head Writer, Bradley P. Bell, in a statement released today as the daytime drama series gets ready to celebrate its anniversary on Monday, March 23. The soap, which aired its 7,000th episode in January, was created by the late William J. Bell and Lee Phillip Bell. It’s first episode aired on March 23, 1987.

CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful” will air its 7,000th episode on Friday, January 23, and in honor of the happy occasion, the network announced that the episode will break from tradition and instead feature a retrospective documentary that will highlight some of the show’s most iconic moments and a look back at its creation. The episode will also include commentary from the cast, fashion shown throughout its near three decades on air, several unforgettable guest star appearances, original screen test footage and much more.

In the midst of “The Bold and the Beautiful” gearing up for an exciting storyline in Amsterdam, which will begin airing Friday, November 7, the show’s stars Scott Clifton (Liam), Kim Matula (Hope), Ashleigh Brewer (Ivy) and Darin Brooks (Wyatt) dropped by CBS’ “The Talk” to discuss the twists and turns ahead. But don’t fret if you missed the actors’ appearance yesterday: A clip of their visit to the popular talk show has just been released!

In one of the rarest of circumstances, CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful” announced on Twitter earlier this evening that actress Kim Matula (Hope Logan) will soon be departing the daytime drama series, just hours after Matula appeared live alongside co-stars Scott Clifton (Liam Spencer), Darin Brooks (Wyatt Fuller) and Ashleigh Brewer (Ivy Forrester) on the network’s daytime talk show, “The Talk.” Under normal circumstances the talent, or their representatives, would reveal departure news to the press or social media before the show was able to confirm casting updates.

This month on CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful” fans will get to see the beautiful city of Amsterdam when Hope (Kim Matula), Liam (Scott Clifton), Wyatt (Darin Brooks) and Ivy (Ashleigh Brewer) travel abroad to mix business with pleasure, but an on location shoot isn’t the only thing to look forward to on the daytime drama series.

While Halloween season itself isn’t necessarily in style just yet for much of the land, the Halloween themed episodes of CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful” has already been planned and will include several “Big Brother” contestants new and old, reports TV Guide‘s Michael Logan. Per the publication, “Big Brother” contestant Donny Thompson will be joined by fellow season 16 houseguests Amber Borzotra, Cody Calafiore, Zach Rance, Hayden Voss, Nicole Franzel, Caleb Reynolds and Devin Shephard, Season 11 & 13’s Jeff Schroeder and Jordan Lloyd, Season 12 & 13’s Rachel Reilly and Brendon Villegas, and Season 15’s Elissa Slater as they all appear in the Halloween themed episodes of the soap, airing Thursday, October 30 and Friday, October 31, that promises to be boatloads of fun!
