Although the episode isn’t scheduled to air until March, “The Bold and the Beautiful’s” Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Forrester) is opening up about playing herself on the Australian soap “Neighbours.”
“There’s a new young girl who’s on the show who sees me and says, ‘Oh, what are you doing here?'” explains Lang to CBS Soaps In Depth of playing herself on the soap, which was once the home away from home for “B&B” co-star Ashleigh Brewer (Ivy Forrester). “Her grandma comes up and tries to drag her away, then she sees me and is like, ‘Oh my gosh! It’s you! It’s Brooke!’ I say, ‘My name’s Katherine Kelly Lang, but you can call me Kelly.’ It’s just three scenes.”
In November, it was announced that Lang would appear on “Neighbours” and much fanfare ensued. “Katherine is one of the queens of soap in the US and we are thrilled to have her appear in ‘Neighbours,'” said producer Jason Herbison at the time. “We will certainly give her the Ramsay Street red carpet experience.”
In addition to filming scenes for “Neighbours,” Lang was also in town for the Western Sydney IRONMAN competition.
