As we get closer to daytime’s biggest night, taking place on Sunday, May 1, the industry is abuzz today over which actors were submitted for a pre-nomination for the “The 43rd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards,” presented by The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS). With at least two actors per show for each category (exception being Supporting Actress) several of daytime television’s biggest and brightest stars are looking to vie for the coveted trophy that celebrates their hard work during calendar year 2015.

Remember in 1998 when Carly (then played by Sarah Brown) stepped away from Michael’s stroller for the tiniest of moments which led to his kidnapping by the hands of Tony Jones, who previously was led to believe Michael was his before Carly proclaimed the child to have been fathered by Jason? Fast forward to 2015, we find Sonny (Maurice Benard), seemingly in the Tony role, being kept away from his child by an all grown up Michael (Chad Duell), who tells his adopted father, “Step away from the stroller now” in this week’s promo for ABC’s “General Hospital.”

The wait is almost over for the premiere of the new ABC.com original series, “GH Now,” hosted by “General Hospital’s” Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis). The series, which brings fans closer to their favorite Port Charles denizens than ever before, is set to premiere on ABC.com and the WATCH ABC app on Monday, January 12 with the first three of six episodes, reports TVLine.

As previously reported, Brandon Barash is reprising the role of Johnny Zacchara on ABC’s “General Hospital” and it looks like he’s set to mark his return this week when Johnny comes face to face with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), at least that’s how it appears in the promo for this week’s worth of episodes. “Wait. What? Johnny’s back this week?!” tweeted Barash shortly after the promo was released.

“General Hospital’s” Emme Rylan (Lulu Spencer) is no stranger to heartbreaking baby loss storylines. As “Guiding Light’s” Lizzie Spaulding, she had to play out the emotional arc in which Lizzie believed her daughter, Sarah, had died in a car accident. And while Rylan is proud of the work she was able to bring as her Springfield alter ego, she’s of the opinion that now having two children of her own (Jackson, 4, and Levi, 2) is making her current baby-loss storyline much stronger.

With “General Hospital’s” 13,000th episode just around the corner — on Monday, February 24, to be exact — Tyler Christopher (Nikolas Cassadine) and Rebecca Herbst (Elizabeth Webber) sat down with reporters to dish on everything from Nikolas’ limits when it comes to Britt (Kelly Thiebaud), the return of Ric (Rick Hearst) and their hesitation to delve into Nikolas and Liz’s romantic past! Read on for the details!

ABC’s “General Hospital” will celebrate romance in style on Valentine’s Day as viewers will be treated to the reconciliation of Dante and Lulu Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna and Emme Rylan), the potential hookup of Felix and Lucas (Marc Anthony Samuel and Ryan Carnes), an adventure for Nikolas and Britt (Tyler Christopher and Kelly Thiebaud), a turning point in Molly’s relationship with TJ (Haley Pullos and Tequan Richmond) and Ava and Morgan (Maura West and Bryan Craig) spend a secret night of passion together. Of course, what would a night of romance be without the possibility of a paternity test reveal? Liz (Rebecca Herbst) is on a mission to take down Britt!

As previously reported, the annual “General Hospital” Fan Club weekend will take place from Thursday, July 31 through Monday, August 4 at the Sportmen’s Lodge Hotel and Events Center in Studio City, CA. Tickets for the Kick Off Cocktail Party, Main Cast and Blast from the Past – Part II events went on sale last week Monday.

The return of Tristan Rogers (Robert Scorpio) to “General Hospital” is short lived, it seems. According to head writer Ron Carlivati, the actor will be leaving the canvas in February. “I had no idea @tristanrogers was leaving. I found out last night. I now have 1 day to write him out of a big Feb Sweeps storyline,” Carlivati tweeted earlier today. He added, “Meanwhile, you will see a lot of Robert between now and February! And please respect @tristanrogers and his decision. Thanks.”

On Wednesday, October 23, “General Hospital’s” Jason Thompson (Patrick Drake) will be giving ABC’s “The View” a male perspective on the day’s hot topics as the daytime star is scheduled to co-host the chatfest alongside Sherri Shepherd, Jenny McCarthy and Whoopi Goldberg. The Canadian born actor will also be chatting it up with the stars of ABC’s “The Middle” as the cast celebrates the show’s 100th episode airing that night.

Sad news if you’ve become addicted to ABC Family’s “The Lying Game”: The serial drama, which stars “As the World Turns’” Alexandra Chando (ex-Maddie Coleman) and “General Hospital’s” Tyler Christopher (Nikolas Cassadine), has been cancelled.

According to Soap Opera Digest, “General Hospital’s” Tyler Christopher (Nikolas Cassadine) is back on contract with the ABC Daytime drama series. The actor is quoted by the mag as saying, “It took us a few months to work out the details, but I signed last week.” He added, “I’m really happy about it. I love the show and I’m having a great time.”

“General Hospital’s” Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) and A.J. Quartermaine (Sean Kanan) will make the ol’ battle of the sexes debate seem rather blaze when they whip out their spoons and have an epic battle of… brace yourselves… condiments! Yep, that’s right: The onscreen aunt and nephew are taking their rivalry to the next level, starting when Tracy learns that A.J. has been booked on “The Chew” to showcase his Pickle-Lila recipe. When the fiery female hears the news, she hits up her new business partner, Nikolas Cassadine (Tyler Christopher) to help her crash the show!
