“The Young and the Restless’” Gina Tognoni is having the time of her life. Just seven months after reporting to the CBS Television City studio, where the daytime drama series is filmed, Tognoni is grateful for the warm welcome she’s received from viewers and the daytime community as a whole. Fresh off a pre-nomination in the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series category, for her role as Phyllis Summers on “Y&R,” Tognoni shares with us what it’s like playing such an interesting and dynamic character, provides insight into the Phyllis, Jack (Peter Bergman) and Kelly (Cady McClain) triangle, and which actors and characters she’d love to share more screen time with.

Strolling into a large and quiet stage space just north of Hollywood, “Days of our Lives’” James Scott (ex-EJ DiMera) looks as gorgeous as ever. But it’s not the “tall, dark and handsome” thing he usually emanates that’s turning heads. Rather, it’s a calm, relaxed and seriously happy vibe that’s giving him a remarkable glow and an aura of magnetism. You don’t want to sit next to him because he’s cute; you want to sit next to him because he’s happy. So much so, it appears it just might rub off. And the reason that the actor is all smiles? He tells Soap Opera Network that, completely free of a soap opera contract for the first time in 10 years after a combined run as EJ and “All My Children’s” Ethan Cambias, he is well-rested, inspired, and looking forward to the next chapter in his thus-far very charmed life.

Daniel Jonas’ journey on “Days of our Lives” has taken portrayer Shawn Christian on a plethora of adventures, many of which have included top talent from the drama series. But of all the storylines the devilishly handsome doc has played out, fans seem to have gravitated toward the cat-and-mouse game Daniel and Kristen (Eileen Davidson) have been involved in over the past couple of months the most. And Soap Opera Network has good news for fans: The delicious drama is far from being over, and Christian has shared some of the juicy details of the story below!

“The Young and the Restless” has cemented its spot as the number one daytime drama for the past 25 years with a record of outstanding decisions, and the sudser’s latest flawless move was the addition of Emmy-winning actress Gina Tognoni, who took over the role of Phyllis Summers (previously portrayed by Michelle Stafford, Nina Clay, “General Hospital”) this year. The Missouri native showed off her serious acting chops as “Guiding Light’s” Dinah Marler and “One Life to Live’s” Kelly Cramer, and now that Phyllis is finally out of her lengthy coma and headed back to Genoa City starting this week, Tognoni will be giving soap fans yet another dose of her powerhouse skills — but this time, as the feisty GC diva “Y&R” fans have loved since she hit the scene back in 1994!

Fall may be fast approaching, but there’s no need to worry about getting cold: “Days of our Lives” is keeping it hot with an exciting story involving new resident Ben Rogers! Soap Opera Network caught up with the character’s portrayer, Robert Scott Wilson, to get the scoop on what’s to come for his alter ego in the weeks ahead. You better hold on tight, because it’s going to be a wild ride!

If you tuned into the new OWN/Tyler Perry series, “If Loving You Is Wrong,” during its premiere Tuesday night, then you’re all too aware that the steamy drama series is nearly too hot to handle! Scandalous sex scenes, drugs, affairs, love, families and friendship are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the topics offered on the show, which ended up being the most-watched series premiere in OWN history! Since former “All My Children” star Aiden Turner (ex-Aidan Devane) is smack dab in the middle of the excitement as the stuffy-yet-lovable character Brad, Soap Opera Network met with him to get the lowdown on working with creator/writer/director Tyler Perry, his embarrassing first meeting with Oprah Winfrey and what lies ahead for Brad on the sizzling series!

There’s never a dull moment on “Days of our Lives,” especially where Kate Roberts is concerned. And rumor is, this fall will prove to be even more of an emotional journey for the Mad World Cosmetics CEO! Soap Opera Network caught up with the character’s portrayer, Lauren Koslow, to get the scoop on what’s to come as the days in Salem — and the town’s residents — get colder!

“Days of our Lives’” Kate (Lauren Koslow) wasn’t the only one who was shocked when Jordan (Chrishell Stause) hauled back and slapped her across the face for sleeping with Rafe (Galen Gering): Viewers were a bit surprised to see the formerly timid physical therapist continue to grow her backbone, as well. And when Soap Opera Network recently caught up with Stause, she revealed that this is only the beginning of her alter ego’s catty side. In fact, Jordan will be getting tougher and tougher as more and more secrets about her unfold!

A lot of actors may gush about how finding success in the crazy world of entertainment is a blessing, but when “The Young and the Restless’” Mishael Morgan (Hilary Curtis) says it, she means it — literally! And that’s because a horrific accident nearly ruined her chances at becoming a daytime star, or anything else for that matter. Soap Opera Network caught up with the actress to get the scoop on her near-death experience as well as how a lucky streak has landed her smack dab in the middle of the popular Genoa City father/son duo of Neil (Kristoff St. John) and Devon (Bryton James)!

Hallmark’s beloved talk show “Home & Family” has featured so many soap star guests, it’s a wonder it’s not up for Outstanding Drama Series in this year’s Daytime Emmy race. With everyone from “Days of our Lives’” Deidre Hall (Marlena Evans) to the “Young and the Restless’” Peter Bergman (Jack Abbott) and Eric Braeden (Victor Newman) dropping by, it’s pretty much par-for-par with Salem, Port Charles and Genoa City. Though, as former “Entertainment Tonight” personality and current “Home & Family” co-host Mark Steines would tell you, the set is anything but something you’d see on a typical daytime drama.

Shortly after Elizabeth Hendrickson announced that she was leaving the role of “The Young and the Restless’” Chloe Mitchell, Soap Opera Network had the chance of speaking with the actress about departing the role she’s played for the last six years. In Part One of our Center Stage interview with the New York native, who was just nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actress in this year’s Emmy race, she discussed why she chose to walk away from daytime as well as her hopes for her future career. But that’s not all the actress divulged during our in-depth chat! In Part Two of our Center Stage interview with Hendrickson, she opens up about Chloe’s final days, her wish for the character and fans, as well as her hesitation about saying goodbye to “Y&R!”

Oh, snap! Former “All My Children” actress Jill Larson (ex-Opal Cortlandt) is set to appear on “The Young and the Restless” next week during the sudser’s major fashion show crossover storyline with “The Bold and the Beautiful,” and it seems her alter ego will be quite the force to be reckoned with! Soap Opera Network caught up with the actress to get the details on her exciting guest-starring role, so read on to find out how she’ll impact some of Genoa City’s most popular characters!

As the saying goes, all good things must come to an end. And so it goes for Elizabeth Hendrickson’s time as “The Young and the Restless’” Chloe Mitchell. The actress recently announced that she’ll be wrapping up her six-year stint as the character and will be saying goodbye to daytime — at least for the time being. But before she takes off, she sat down with Soap Opera Network to spill the beans on why she decided to walk away from “Y&R,” what’s in store for her future, and what fans can expect from Chloe’s final days on the canvas. Read on to get the full scoop!

Yesterday, Soap Opera Network featured a Center Stage interview with “The Young and the Restless’” Joshua Morrow (Nicholas Newman) detailing his new film, “Tentacle 8,” which is out on DVD in select stores and on Amazon now. But as promised, we also got the star to open up about all of his “Y&R” drama, too! Read on to get the actor’s take on Sharon’s (Sharon Case) paternity lies, Victor’s (Eric Braeden) machinations, the search for Adam and the recent departure of some of the sudser’s most popular stars!

Anyone who’s been watching “The Young and the Restless” as of late knows that Nicholas Newman’s life is about to be blown to smithereens. Not only has his father been tricking the love of his life into thinking she’s been seeing and speaking with her dead daughter, he’s on the verge of finding out that the very same woman he loves has been lying to him about the true paternity of his daughter! The drama is all pretty typical for Nick’s portrayer, Joshua Morrow — who’s been dealing with twisted Genoa City plots for nearly 20 years — but the drama he faces in his latest stint in the political drama thriller ‘Tentacle 8?’ Not so much! Soap Opera Network spoke with the actor about momentarily stepping away from his ‘Y&R’ craziness to film the exciting project, which is available on DVD in stores and on Amazon today. And we also got him to spill on all of the Victor (Eric Braeden), Sharon (Sharon Case) and Adam (formerly Michael Muhney) drama, too!

Watching “Days of our Lives’” Sami (Alison Sweeney), Kate (Lauren Koslow) and Gabi (Camila Banus) supposedly wash their hands clean of Nick (Blake Berris) by tossing him in a river was delicious soap opera fun. But with the formerly presumed dead character back in town and acting rather strange, it seems the fun has really just begun! Is the dark haired fellow really Nick? Or could it be a twin brother or an imposter using his face? And if it truly is Nick, just how far will he go to get back at the ladies for trying to off him? Soap Opera Network chatted with the character’s portrayer to find out!

It’s been 23 years since Kristoff St. John stepped into the role of “The Young and the Restless’” Neil Winters, and since that time, the New York native has given countless interviews giving fans a detailed glimpse into the man he is when the cameras aren’t rolling. But despite all of the revealing material, there’s still a large part of St. John’s life that hasn’t been unearthed — until now! The actor has just finished completion of a horrifying documentary film detailing his family’s unsuccessful 1980s quest to find God in India, and Soap Opera Network spoke with him about the groundbreaking film and how the childhood experience shaped him as a human being. Read on to get the scoop as well as a few teases regarding Neil’s life, too!
