CBS Daytime’s “The Bold and the Beautiful” received 15 Daytime Emmy Award nominations this year, and the show’s executive producer and headwriter, Bradley P. Bell, couldn’t be more thrilled. “We’re determined to redefine the genre with our look, with our pacing, with our stories, with our location shoots,” he says of how the show’s entire team is to thank for the Emmy considerations. “We really want to make it a daily drama, and we’re not looking back. We’re only looking forward, and I think that strategy has paid off for us.”

Been wondering what Ronn Moss has been up to since leaving his role as “The Bold and the Beautiful’s” Ridge Forrester last September? Wonder no more: He and former bandmate Peter Beckett have reunited to bring Player — famous for their hits “Baby Come Back,” “This Time I’m In It For Love,” “It’s For You” and more — back into the spotlight. The band just released their fifth album, “Too Many Reasons,” and are hitting the stage for a special benefit concert!

For those of you wondering or secretly hoping that Ronn Moss would be back on CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful” as Ridge Forrester just before Susan Flannery airs for the final time on the Monday, November 26 episode as Stephanie Forrester, you’re going to have to settle with the fact that it’s not happening.
While millions of fans may love the tantalizing tales of the Forrester’s and the Logan’s on CBS’ ”The Bold and the Beautiful,” many of them may not think twice about what it takes to make the world’s most watched daytime soap opera come alive each and every weekday. In a new book released earlier this month by Sourcebooks, entitled “Becoming Bold & Beautiful: 25 Years of Making the World’s Most Popular Daytime Soap Opera” with foreword by the soaps “core four” Susan Flannery, John McCook, Ronn Moss and Katherine Kelly Lang, the hardcover release provides detailed insight from the 1987 debut year of the soap to present day. Included throughout are over 200 photographs featuring cast and crew members on Stage 31 of CBS Television City in Los Angeles, and on location in Malibu, Cabo San Lucas, and Aspen.

Just days after announcing that she had signed a new two-year contract with CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful,” Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Forrester) finds herself in an unusual position for the first time in over 25 years.
Lang, like co-stars Ronn Moss (Ridge Forrester) and Susan Flannery (Stephanie Forrester), has been on the daytime drama series since its debut in 1987. With word that both Moss and Flannery have opted to leave the series, Lang finds herself as part of what’s left of the “core four,” along with John McCook (Eric Forrester), whose fate on the series has yet to be determined.
“It will never be the same now without Ronn and Susan. Sad!” said Lang, in response to a twitter follower who had just learned of Flannery’s departure.
A rep for “B&B” has not responded to a request for comment on Flannery’s reported exit to Soap Opera Network.

Soaps In Depth is reporting that CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful” is about to lose another “core four” member as Susan Flannery (Stephanie Forrester) has informed producers and the shows writing team that she plans to leave the series at the end of her newly signed short-term contract. Flannery, like the departing Ronn Moss (soon-to-be ex-Ridge Forrester), has been with the show since it debuted on March 23, 1987 – more than 25 years ago!
With Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Forrester) renewing her contract late last week, that leaves John McCook (Eric Forrester) as the only core member whose status with the show remains a mystery.
According to In Depth, Flannery opted to sign a new short-term deal in order for the shows writers to adequately write her character out of the series. Unlike Moss, however, viewers shouldn’t expect the show to recast Stephanie Forrester as head writer Bradley Bell indicated they would do with the character of Ridge Forrester sometime down the road.
A representative for the soap did not immediately respond to a request for comment at press time to Soap Opera Network.
On Saturday, August 18, Flannery joined Moss and “The Young and the Restless” stars Doug Davidson (Paul Williams) and Tracey E. Bregman (Lauren Fenmore) for “The Young and Restless Life of William J. Bell” book signing. Co-authors Lee Phillip Bell and Michael Maloney were also in attendance.

While “The Bold and the Beautiful” canceled its casting call last week following news of Ronn Moss‘ (soon-to-be ex-Ridge Forrester) departure, sister soap “The Young and the Restless” has announced its plans to cast the contract role of an African American male.
According to Soap Opera Digest, “Y&R” is seeking to cast the face of Tyler Douglas, who is currently in his late 20s or early 30s, and was orphaned at age 16. Douglas got himself through college and now holds an MBA. The character is “driven to succeed. Smart, energetic. Well-read. Smoothly sexy and confident, with a witty, sometimes cynical sense of humor.”
This marks the first role being cast under new executive producer Jill Farren Phelps and head writer Josh Griffith. No word on when the show expects to cast the role nor when viewers can expect to see him on screen.

Soap Opera Network has learned that Susan Flannery (Stephanie Forrester, “The Bold and the Beautiful“) has been added to the “Young and Restless Life of William J. Bell” book signing being held today from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Barnes & Noble located at 4820 Telephone Road Ventura, CA 93003.
As previously reported, Ronn Moss (Ridge Forrester, “The Bold and the Beautiful”), Doug Davidson (Paul Williams, “The Young and the Restless”) and Tracey E. Bregman (Lauren Fenmore, “The Young and the Restless”) will join co-authors Lee Phillip Bell and Michael Maloney at the wristband required event (see full details below).
