With Craig Ferguson set to step down as host of “The Late Late Show” on Friday, December 19, CBS has announced that following re-runs of the late night talk show, special editions will be produced featuring rotating guest hosts and special after-dark editions of CBS Daytime’s “The Talk” from Monday, January 5 – Friday, March 6, 2015 (12:37-1:37 AM, ET/PT).

It’s raining men at “The Price Is Right,” which has been in the thick of a national male model search of manly proportions for the past couple of weeks. And seeing as how the game show not only helped launch the career of “Days of our Lives’” Robert Scott Wilson (Ben Rogers; ex-Pete Cortlandt, “All My Children”) but also decided to include “The Young and the Restless’” Melissa Ordway (Abby Newman) and Daniel Goddard (Cane Ashby) in this year’s search (which Soap Opera Network was the first to reveal), we decided to have executive producer Mike Richards come on down and give us the full scoop!

It’s been America’s favorite game show for as long as most can remember, but “The Price Is Right” is looking completely different these days. However, if Mike Richards has done the job he intended since stepping into the role of executive producer in 2009, nobody’s the wiser that the game show has basically done a 180 in recent years!

“The Young and the Restless” is set to turn 41 years old on Wednesday, March 26, and the sudser is celebrating its birthday in style: With a crossover storyline involving “The Price Is Right” and its host, Drew Carey!

If you couldn’t get enough of Cynthia Watros as “Guiding Light’s” crazy Annie Dutton Banks or as “Lost’s” sympathetic psychologist, Libby Smith, you’re in luck: She’ll be tackling an equally intense role during her upcoming stint on “The Young and the Restless.”

As part of a soap opera star filled season, CBS’ “The Price Is Right” just announced the list of daytime stars set to grace the game show stage throughout the month of November! So who will be coming on down and helping Drew Carey as he hosts a variety of iconic games, including Lucky Seven, Plinko, and Shopping Spree?

Goblins and witches and ghosts, oh my! And no, we’re not talking about the millions of children who’ll be cavorting around as such on All Hallow’s Eve next week. We’re talking about the stars of “The Bold and the Beautiful,” “The Young and the Restless,” “The Price Is Right,” “The Talk” and “Let’s Make a Deal,” as all five shows are featuring Halloween themed episodes on Thursday, October 31, complete with fun and creepy costumes!

As we previously reported, a few stars from “The Young and the Restless” are slated to make appearances on CBS’s popular game show, “The Price Is Right,” and next week’s schedule featuring two of the soap’s stars has been released!

It’s not hard to laugh, but across the board, daytime stars agree that it’s not easy to be funny! That being said, some of the industry’s most popular talent — “The Price Is Right’s” Drew Carey, “Let’s Make a Deal’s” Wayne Brady, and “The Talk’s” Aisha Tyler and Sheryl Underwood — certainly make it look easy to be hilarious day in and day out. Noticing the top-notch humor present in their daytime lineup, CBS decided to gather those said stars together at Hollywood’s legendary venue, The Comedy Store, to perform an evening of standup comedy benefitting a cancer charity. The result: CBS Daytime After Dark, Stand Up to Cancer — a fun event definitely worth smiling about!

Beginning Friday, July 26 and running through Sunday, July 28, “The Young and the Restless'” Leslie Stevens (Rose Turner) will join the cell block tango in “Chicago: The Musical.” The actress will be appearing alongside such heavy weights as Lucy Lawless, Drew Carey, Stephen Moyer, Ashley Simpson and others at the Hollywood Bowl version of the Broadway hit.

As previously reported, “The Young and the Restless'” Daniel Goddard (Cane Ashby) will be appearing in the Monday, June 17 “engaged couples” edition of CBS’ “The Price is Right.” The actor first revealed on Wednesday, May 1 that he had been filming on the “TPIR” set for a segment of the popular game show where tweeted, ”Taping #TPIR today with Gwen, Manuela and Amber .. #ChicksWithAttitude #CWA @CBSdaytime @official_yandr.” The tweet was accompanied by a link to a post on his Facebook page, which showed the beautiful ladies on the set of “TPIR” while they weren’t filming.

As Senior Vice President of CBS Daytime, Angelica McDaniel is ultimately responsible for the daily operation of television’s most popular daily lineup consisting of “The Bold and the Beautiful,” “Let’s Make a Deal,” “The Price is Right,” “The Talk” and “The Young and the Restless.” Just a few weeks ago, Soap Opera Network had the opportunity of speaking with McDaniel about her diverse lineup filled with soap operas, game shows and talk shows.

If you thought Oprah giving away cars was a big deal, wait until you see what CBS Daytime has in store for the week of April 22 through the 26, when “The Talk,” “The Price Is Right,” and “Let’s Make a Deal” participate in the network’s exciting Big Money Week!

For those that don’t know him or have yet to discover him, Robert Scott Wilson is both a model and an actor. In September 2012, Wilson won the coveted position as the first-ever male model on “The Price is Right.” The game show hosted by Drew Carey, currently in its 41st season on CBS, issued an open casting call for male models in Los Angeles in August of last year and hundreds of hopefuls showed up. After being narrowed down to just 26 individuals, the men competed in a series of challenges that were featured on priceisright.com. Such challenges included writing and singing original lyrics based on the theme music from the iconic series. Ultimately, Wilson beat out finalists Clint Brink and Nick Denbeigh and began a week-long stint in mid-October, which has since turned into a regular gig. When news first broke that Wilson would be joining the cast of “All My Children” in the contract role of Peter Cortlandt, one could only wonder if he would be departing the game show after such a short period of time. Wonder no more as the actor tells Soap Opera Network, he’ll be doing both!
