For five days only, fans of Greg Rikaart (Kevin Fisher, “The Young and the Restless”) can see the actor take part in “Snapshots,” a theatrical benefit that looks to raise funds for the Susan G. Komen 3-Day for the Cure event. Rikaart will be starring in a one-act at benefit, which is scheduled to run from Wednesday, July 10 through Sunday, July 14 at the Stella Adler Theater in Hollywood, CA.

On Sunday, June 16, CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “The Young and the Restless” were the big winners at the 40th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards, which celebrated the best in soaps, talk, game shows and more. In celebration of their multiple Emmy wins, CBS has released promos for both “B&B” and “Y&R,” which includes highlights for the entire CBS Daytime lineup. In addition to the CBS soaps, NBC has released a promo highlighting “Days of our Lives'” win for Outstanding Drama Series and Chandler Massey’s (Will Horton) second win for Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series.

For the week of June 10-14, 2013, CBS Daytime once again led all networks in the households and total viewers. Consisting of soap operas “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “The Young and the Restless,” game shows “Let’s Make a Deal” and “The Price is Right” and talk show “The Talk,” CBS was up week-to-week in viewers and the Women 25-54 demo. “Y&R” was up 5% in both viewers and women 25-54, while “B&B” was up 4% in viewers and 7% in women 25-54.

During all the commotion surrounding the 40th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards on Sunday, June 16, came word from “All My Children” actress Eden Riegel (Bianca Montgomery; ex-Heather Stevens, “The Young and the Restless”) that she is again with child!

Corbin Bernsen (Henry Spencer, “Psych”; ex-Father Todd Williams, “The Young and the Restless”; ex-John Durant, “General Hospital”), who helped introduce the In Memoriam segment at “The 40th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards” chats with Soap Opera Network on the passing of his mother, Jeanne Cooper (Katherine Chancellor, “Y&R”), and the tribute episode celebrating her life and career produced by CBS last month and why she will always be remembered.

Going into Sunday’s Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards telecast, CBS Daytime was the most honored network with 51 nominations. By the end of the night, the network went home with 21 statues (eight during broadcast and 13 from creative arts on Friday) covering all genres including soap operas “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “The Young and the Restless,” game shows “The Price is Right” and “Let’s Make a Deal” and talk show “The Talk.”

As previously reported, “The Young and the Restless'” Daniel Goddard (Cane Ashby) will be appearing in the Monday, June 17 “engaged couples” edition of CBS’ “The Price is Right.” The actor first revealed on Wednesday, May 1 that he had been filming on the “TPIR” set for a segment of the popular game show where tweeted, ”Taping #TPIR today with Gwen, Manuela and Amber .. #ChicksWithAttitude #CWA @CBSdaytime @official_yandr.” The tweet was accompanied by a link to a post on his Facebook page, which showed the beautiful ladies on the set of “TPIR” while they weren’t filming.

Fans of “The Young and the Restless’” Redaric Williams (Tyler Michaelson) no doubt view the Michigan native as a hot hunk. But with a business degree from the University of North Texas under his belt as well as the cajones to start his own social media company, he is much more than just a pretty face. But even with the killer combination of brains and brawn, he admitted to Soap Opera Network that he was very nervous to become a part of Genoa City!

With the 40th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards slated to happen today (Sunday, June 16), the entire daytime industry has been abuzz with excitement and preparation. Friday’s Creative Arts Emmys kicked off the weekend-long celebration, and some of soap operas biggest stars came out to support the behind-the-scenes teams responsible for bringing “The Bold and the Beautiful,” “Days of our Lives,” “General Hospital,” “One Life to Live” and “The Young and the Restless” to life! The Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards weekend kicked off on Friday, June 14 with the annual Creative Arts Emmy Awards. CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “The Young and the Restless” are currently leading the way with five wins each, followed by “Days of our Lives” with two and “General Hospital” and “One Life to Live” tied with one each, ironically in the same category.

As we previously reported, HLN, the network hosting the the 40th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy awards, is shaking up the beloved broadcast by interviewing the winners of the top seven categories on stage immediately following their acceptance speeches! On the heels of the announcement, Soap Opera Network hit the red carpet for the Television Academy hosted Daytime Emmy Awards Nominee Reception to get a few of the stars’ takes on celebrities Giada De Laurentiis, Sheryl Underwood, Julie Chen, Sam Champion and A.J. It’s been 31 years since “The Young and the Restless’” Kate Linder first donned a black and white outfit and debuted as Esther, the maid of Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper). And even though the character has had a number of her own storylines, she will forever and always be tied to the great dame who first brought her to the screen. Soap Opera Network recently spoke with Linder to discuss Esther’s future sans Katherine and sans Cooper.
