“The Bold and the Beautiful” has set off for locations like Paris, Abu Dhabi, Monaco and many parts of Southern California, making it quite the globe trotting soap opera. And that has left many CBS Daytime fans wondering if its sister soap, “The Young and the Restless,” will follow suit and take some of its characters out of Genoa City and around the world. We spoke with network execs to find out!

There’s no doubt that the Daytime Emmy Awards play a large part of the daytime industry, but just how prevalent is the golden statue when it comes to the every day work lives of the people who make up the genre? Soap Opera Network spoke with performers, writers, producers and more to get their take on how often and how much the Emmys impact their work lives. Does the event and its promised accolades inspire them to work harder? Do they keep the Emmys in mind when filming, writing and performing scenes? “Days of our Lives,” “General Hospital,” “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “The Young and the Restless” are about to get some serious competition: The popular Australian soap opera “Neighbours” is making it’s debut in the United States this month, and to kick off the show’s exciting new journey, pop singer and former “American Idol” judge Paula Abdul is guest-starring!
Ever heard the rumor that working on a soap opera is one of the toughest acting jobs out there? Well, according to some industry insiders like “Days of our Lives’” casting director Marnie Saitta, “The Bold and the Beautiful’s” John McCook (Eric Forrester), “General Hospital’s” Anthony Geary, and “The Young and the Restless’” Max Ehrich (Fenmore Baldwin), daytime gigs are some of the toughest jobs to land — and keep, as well!
“The Young and the Restless’” Cynthia Watros (ex-Kelly Andrews) departed the soap world for the second time after landing a role on the MTV show “Finding Carter,” and now viewers can see her in action when the new series debuts with a special two-episode premiere tonight!
CBS’ hit soap, “The Bold and the Beautiful” has recently traveled to Dubai, Monaco and Paris for on-location scenes, and it looks like the globetrotting sudser will be at it again very soon, according to executive producer Bradley P. Bell.

With “One Life to Live” up for Outstanding Drama Series during the 41st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards, it was no surprise to see Prospect Park founder Richard Frank and his wife, “All My Children” and “One Life to Live’s” “More” show host Leslie Miller, on the red carpet.
“The Bold and the Beautiful’s” Kim Matula (Hope Logan) was nominated for Outstanding Younger Actress during the 41st Annual Daytime Emmy Awards, but that wasn’t all that made the actress shine while she walked the red carpet. Read on to find out why she was practically glowing!

Opinions regarding the 41st Annual Daytime Emmy Award show have been mixed, but opinions regarding the four women that the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences hired to host the red carpet pre-show remain the same across the board: The foursome are being criticized as being amateurish and downright offensive.
