UPDATE 8:56 AM PST: A rep for “Pretty Little Liars” confirms that Penny will make her debut during the Tuesday, August 26 finale of the show’s current season.
You may know her from “All My Children,” where she played Julia Santos, “The Bold and the Beautiful,” where she played Samantha Kelly, or “Days of our Lives,” where she played Dr. Liv Norman, but Sydney Penny will soon be known to the (young adult) masses as Leona Vanderwaal on “Pretty Little Liars!”
The actress has been cast in the recurring role on the ABC Family drama, where she’ll work closely with Mona Vanderwall (Janel Parrish) — her onscreen child!
“Lucky me!” the actress tweeted of her new role. “I love my new ‘daughter!'”
