Amazon, Inc. announced today the premiere date of “Alpha House,” a new comedy that features former “All My Children” heartthrob Mark Consuelos (ex-Mateo Santos) as one of four United States senators-turned-unlikely-roommates renting a house in Washington, D.C. The series, which also stars John Goodman, Clark Johnson and Matt Malloy, will premiere on Friday, November 15 with the first three of its eleven episode first season being made available to all Amazon Prime Instant Video customers online and via Kindle Fire, iPad, iPhone, Roku, Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Wii and Wii U, as well as other connected devises. In addition to announcing the premiere date for “Alpha House,” Amazon also announced the launch date for its other new comedy, “Betas” – Friday, November 22, which follows four friends as they work to make it rich with a new mobile social networking application.

After portraying Phyllis Summers on CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” for fifteen years, soap fans around the world thought they were saying goodbye to Michelle Stafford on the Friday, August 2 episode, when she vacated the role. Thankfully, that isn’t the case. As stated in an interview with both Soap Opera Digest and TV Guide Magazine, Stafford left the number one rated daytime drama series for several reasons, some of which she’ll never reveal, but one of which was to launch her new web series, “The Stafford Project.”

She’s back! Actress Devin Mills returns with a second season of “Dating in the Middle Ages,” a series that follows a woman named Samantha (Mills) who is searching for her modern day Cary Grant. In the new season, which debuted on Tuesday, July 30, the online series brings “Days of our Lives” stars Deidre Hall (Marlena Evans) and Matthew Ashford (ex-Jack Deveraux) on a ride for the “Ages.”

“Husbands: The Series,” which made history as the first online series to be hosted by The Paley Center for Media in 2012, will make history again next month when it debuts its third season on CW Seed, the new digital and social media platform from The CW Television Network. The comedy series, co-created by Jane Espenson (“Once Upon a Time“) and writer/actor Brad Bell (“Pop-Up Video“), stars Bell, using his persona “Cheeks,” and Sean Hemeon (Brady Kelly) as two men, dating for only six weeks, who wake up in Vegas to find themselves married all thanks to marriage equality. The series also stars Alessandra Torresani (Haley).

In an exclusive interview with TV Guide’s Michael Logan, “The Bold and the Beautiful’s” Lawrence Saint-Victor (Carter Walton) revealed that the CBS Daytime drama series will be turning its show within a show into a show. “Room 8,” the fictional web series that finds Carter and Maya Avant (Karla Mosley) appearing as Lance and Scarlett, will be turning into a real web series courtesy of CBS.com.

Bella Book Productions and Open Books Productions announced today that former “Days of our Lives” and “General Hospital” actress, Sarah Joy Brown, has joined the cast of the webs series “Beacon Hill,” which follows the political world in Boston, Massachusetts. Filming is set to begin later this fall in and around Boston.

Crystal Chappell (Gina Brogno, “Venice;” ex-Carly Manning, “Days of our Lives;” ex-Olivia Spencer, “Guiding Light”) stars as Jane in Steve Silverman’s Alfred Hitchcock-inspired series, “The Inn,” which premiered with its new season on Monday, June 3. Soap Opera Network recently had the opportunity to chat with Chappell to discuss her work on the series as well has her numerous contributions to the web series world, including “Venice” and “The Grove: The Series.” Before we post the interview, we wanted to make sure viewers got a chance to catch up on “The Inn.”
