Background: Errol is one of the premier voices covering all five daily daytime dramas, including "Beyond the Gates," "The Bold and the Beautiful," "Days of our Lives," "General Hospital" and "The Young and the Restless." He began watching soaps in 1993, around the time Luke and Laura Spencer returned to “General Hospital,” but they weren’t what got him watching regularly. “It was Lucy Coe and her duck Sigmond,” he says of how he got started with soaps.

He received his BA from Baruch College, double-majoring in English Literature and Journalism, and double-minoring in Communications and Psychology. He also holds an AA in Business Administration.

Almost time to head back to LA.” Since then fans have wondered what role he’ll end up playing on the Steven Spielberg executive produced series and Soap Opera Network has the scoop!

Last week “General Hospital” executive producer Frank Valentini revealed that there will be plenty of villains hanging around the denizens of Port Charles this fall and he wasn’t kidding. Fans last saw Heather in February, when she was carted off to jail.

Rumors began swirling earlier today that an East coast redhead with another life to live had joined a daytime soap. Turns out the redhead in question is none other than Melissa Archer, formerly of ABC and Prospect Park’s “One Life to Live.” Per Soap Opera Digest, Archer has joined the cast of NBC’s “Days of our Lives” in an as yet to be named role.

Today, August 25, the actor turns the big 5-0, which makes him an official member of AARP. To celebrate his joining the exclusive club, the magazine has created a special edition mock cover of AARP: The Magazine (shown above).
