Background: Errol is one of the premier voices covering all five daily daytime dramas, including "Beyond the Gates," "The Bold and the Beautiful," "Days of our Lives," "General Hospital" and "The Young and the Restless." He began watching soaps in 1993, around the time Luke and Laura Spencer returned to “General Hospital,” but they weren’t what got him watching regularly. “It was Lucy Coe and her duck Sigmond,” he says of how he got started with soaps.
He received his BA from Baruch College, double-majoring in English Literature and Journalism, and double-minoring in Communications and Psychology. He also holds an AA in Business Administration.
On Friday, October 24, “The Young and the Restless'” newest stars, Scott Elrod (Joe Clark), Justin Hartley (Adam Newman), Burgess Jenkins (Billy Abbott) and Gina Tognoni (Phyllis Summers), will be appearing on CBS’ “The Talk” to discuss their joining daytime’s most watched drama series. The actors are expected to provide some insight into their characters and what life has been like since entering Genoa City.
The Wednesday, October 15 episode of CBS’ “Criminal Minds” featuring former “All My Children” and “The Young and the Restless” actress Eden Riegel found the primetime series growing week-to-week in Total Viewers and the key Adults 18-49 sales demo.
Portraying Fenmore Baldwin on CBS’ “The Young and the Restless,” Max Ehrich has always given off a boy next door type feel, even when his daytime character was reaching dark places. However, on “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit,” Ehrich will be going darker than ever before as a college student accused of sexually assaulting a supposedly innocent coed on the Wednesday, October 22 episode entitled “Pornstar’s Requiem.”
As previously reported, everyone loves CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” and the year-to-year growth in Total Viewers, Women 25-54 and Women 18-49 during the week of October 6-10, 2014 continues to prove that point. In addition to “Y&R,” CBS is experiencing overall growth with “The Bold and the Beautiful,” “The Price is Right,” “Let’s Make a Deal” and “The Talk.” In the case of “B&B,” the soap is seeing plenty of women enjoying the storyline surrounding Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) and Caroline Spencer Forrester (Linsey Godfrey) along with the happenings of Hope Logan (Kim Matula) following the recent revelation that she’s with child after a recent romp with one of the Spencer brothers. The soap is up 23% in Women 25-54 and 38% in Women 18-49 compared to the same week last year.

On Thursday, September 25, Soap Opera Network reported that CBS completed its 28th year as the most watched network in daytime with its highly ranked lineup consisting of soap operas “The Young and the Restless” and “The Bold and the Beautiful,” game shows “The Price is Right” and “Let’s Make a Deal,” and growing talker “The Talk.” In honor of their continued success the network has bestowed upon the cast and crews of each program a plaque that highlights key reasons everyone watches CBS Daytime.
Archie Panjabi is departing CBS’ “The Good Wife” when her contract expires at the end of this season, it was announced today. Panjabi portrays Private Investigator Kalinda Sharma on the hit primetime series, which is experiencing some of its highest ratings since debuting in 2009.
During the Time Warner Inc. Investor Meeting today, Richard Plepler, chairman and CEO, HBO, announced that the company will begin offering a stand-alone streaming subscription service in 2015, which will provide programming from the Pay TV network to non-cable/satellite subscribers for the first time. Currently cable/satellite subscribers of the network are able to stream the network’s programming via the popular HBO GO service.
Last week fans had some hope that Peter Reckell might be returning to NBC’s “Days of our Lives” in the coming months as his character Bo Brady after the actor tweeted, “With luck I’ll have some answers by next week. I’ll let u know what’s happening as soon as I know. Thanks 4 your patience and understanding.” Since then Reckell has clarified his comments with insight on what was not a factor in his deciding to leave the drama series two years ago, while emphasizing the importance of family.
With Elizabeth Hendrickson returning as Chloe Mitchell on today’s episode of “The Young and the Restless” in remembrance of the one year anniversary of the death of her daughter, Delia Abbott, it’s only appropriate that the stars from daytime’s most watched drama series take part in a live tweet during the show to talk about the emotional scenes they filmed and what the storyline has meant for them overall. Hendrickson, Burgess Jenkins (Billy Abbott), Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea Newman) and Greg Rikaart (Kevin Fisher) plan to do just that!
