Need To Know

  • “General Hospital” was the only scripted series to see week-to-week gains in key demos.
  • Repeats of game shows “Let’s Make a Deal” and “The Price is Right” continue to experience massive year-over-year growth among Total Viewers.
  • “The View” concluded Season 29.

Season 29 of “The View” concluded during the week of July 20-24, 2026, with the talk show marking multi-week highs in the key sales demographics, while “General Hospital” was the only scripted drama to see week-to-week gains among Women 18-49 and Women 25-54. “Beyond the Gates,” “The Bold and the Beautiful,” “TODAY with Jenna & Sheinelle” and “The Young and the Restless” all set or tied a season low among Women 25-54.

Ranking third among Women 18-49 (0.26 rating) and fourth among Women 25-54 (0.36 rating), “The View” concluded its 29th season with a five-week high in the former (best since the week of June 15-19, 2026) and a four-week high in the latter (best since the week of June 22-26, 2026). The talk show was up +0.03 week-to-week among Women 18-49 (0.26 rating vs. 0.23 rating) and Women 25-54 (0.36 rating vs. 0.33 rating). Compared to the same week last year, it was up +0.02 among Women 18-49 (0.26 rating vs. 0.24 rating), up +0.1 among Households (1.6 rating vs. 1.5 rating), and up +123,000 viewers (2.466 million vs. 2.343 million), which marked the final week of original broadcasts for Season 28. “The View” was also ahead of the final week of original broadcasts from Season 27 (July 22-26, 2024) among Women 18-49 (0.26 rating vs. 0.22 rating), while remaining even among Women 25-54 (0.36 rating).

General Hospital Ratings

The only daytime drama to see week-to-week gains among Women 18-49 (0.17 rating vs. 0.16 rating) and Women 25-54 (0.25 rating vs 0.24 rating), “General Hospital” did mark the largest week-to-week decline among Total Viewers across daytime broadcast, down 169,000 (1.853 million vs. 2.022 million), and was one of the only programs to see a decline year-over-year, down 8,000 viewers (1.853 million vs. 1.861 million).

That said, the long-running series remains a force on Hulu, ranking No. 1 on the streaming service’s Top 15 Today TV chart for three out of seven days during the week of July 19-25, 2026, according to data tracking by The TV Ratings Guide. The soap was on top with episodes that dropped after their initial ABC broadcasts on Wednesday, July 22; Thursday, July 23; and Friday, July 24. On Saturday, July 25, it ranked third, behind “Project Runway” and “Love Island UK.” Earlier in the week, the series ranked fifth on Sunday, July 19; sixth on Monday, July 20; and second on Tuesday, July 21.

The Bold And The Beautiful Ratings

“The Bold and the Beautiful” continued to mark the largest year-over-year gain among soaps in Total Viewers, up +312,000 (2.883 million vs. 2.571 million), with a minor week-to-week drop of 3,000 viewers, making the half-hour show’s viewing audience one of the most consistent this summer across all of television. The series was up +0.2 among Households (1.8 rating vs. 1.6 rating) and ahead of its performance during the same week in 2024 in both Households (1.8 rating vs. 1.7 rating) and Total Viewers (2.883 million vs. 2.602 million).

The Young And The Restless Ratings

“The Young and the Restless” has averaged more than three million viewers for the 26th consecutive week (a streak that began during the week of January 26-30, 2026), with a week-to-week gain of +12,000 viewers (3.232 million vs. 3.220 million) and up +157,000 year-over-year (3.232 million vs. 3.075 million).

In addition to outperforming 2025, the long-running soap opera was also up +253,000 viewers compared to the same week in 2024 (3.232 million vs. 2.979 million), and +70,000 over 2023 (3.232 million vs. 3.136 million).

Beyond The Gates Ratings

“Beyond the Gates” was even with its week-ago performance among Women 18-49 (0.15 rating), tied for last place with “GMA3,” while up over the same week last year among Total Viewers for the 20th consecutive week (since the week of March 9-13, 2026), up +64,000 (1.620 million vs. 1.556 million). The soap opera remained up over the 2022 performance of former time slot occupant “The Talk” among viewers, up +188,000 (1.620 million vs. 1.432 million) and +345,000 over the talk show’s performance in 2021 (1.620 million vs. 1.245 million).

Note: “The Talk” aired repeats during the comparable week in 2023 due to the ongoing writers’ strike, and in 2024 had already concluded Season 14, airing repeats until it kicked off its 15th and final season in the fall of that year.

The Price Is Right Ratings / NBC News Daily Ratings

Continuing to air repeat broadcasts from Season 54, with Season 55 set to premiere in September, “The Price is Right” keeps trucking along with more viewers watching encores during the summer than many weeks of originals. This week, the second half-hour was up +42,000 over last week (4.485 million vs. 4.443 million), while also up a massive +741,000 year-over-year (4.485 million vs. 3.744 million). Compared to the same week last year, the second half-hour of the game show was up +0.01 in both Women 18-49 (0.39 rating vs. 0.38 rating) and Women 25-54 (0.54 rating vs. 0.53 rating). The first half-hour was up +0.01 week-to-week among Women 18-49 (0.36 rating vs. 0.35 rating) and was even with the same week last year. Among Total Viewers, the first half-hour was up +18,000 week-to-week (3.834 million vs. 3.816 million) and up +492,000 year-over-year (3.834 million vs. 3.342 million).

In a tie with “General Hospital,” “NBC News Daily” was even with its week-ago performance among Women 18-49 (0.17 rating), while up +0.04 year-over-year (0.17 rating vs. 0.13 rating). Among Women 25-54, the news program was virtually on par with its week-ago performance (0.23 rating vs. 0.24 rating), while up +0.02 year-over-year (0.23 rating vs. 0.21 rating). Meanwhile, compared to the same week last year, “NBC News Daily” was up a whopping +441,000 viewers (1.584 million vs. 1.143 million) and continues to outpace competitor “GMA3” (1.438 million)

Shift: Beginning August 31, 2020, national ratings include Out-of-Home (OOH) viewing. Previously, ratings did not include OOH viewing. Averages are based on regular telecasts.
