When it was revealed that Chandler Massey (Will Horton) had re-shot Will Horton’s death scene, among others, previously shot with Guy Wilson in the role, it was only a matter of time before it was announced that Robert Scott Wilson would be returning to his role as Ben Rogers on the NBC daytime soap. After all, Ben was revealed to have been Will’s killer when the serial killer storyline reached its climax in 2015.

On Friday, September 15, “Days of our Lives” will be welcoming back three-time Daytime Emmy Award winning actor Chandler Massey to the role of Will Horton. Considering the character was supposed to have died tragically by strangulation during the soap’s serial killer storyline in 2015 (when he was played by Guy Wilson), what can fans expect when the character is resurrected very much alive this week? While we still don’t know exactly the how, we can at least scratch off “zombie” from the list of possibilities.

Despite claims by “Days of our Lives” executive producer Ken Corday that any character killed after September 2015 would remain dead, rumors are running rampant that the soap has secretly been in negotiations with three-time Daytime Emmy Award Winner Chandler Massey to reprise his role as Will Horton, who was murdered in October by the necktie killer (Ben Weston, played by Robert Scott Wilson) during Guy Wilson‘s turn in the popular role. Adding fuel to the fire are recent comments by Massey’s former publicist, Jeffrey Ballard.

In a posting on his Facebook page, hours after his final scenes as Sonny Kiriakis on NBC’s “Days of our Lives” aired, actor Freddie Smith reflected on the roller coster ride he had playing the role and what it meant not just for him, but to the fans as well.

Once again proving that its at the top of the heap when it comes to daytime, CBS swept the 41st Annual Daytime Emmy awards with 13 drama related wins, leading all networks. “The Young and the Restless” took home a combined total of nine wins during the Creative Arts Emmy Awards and the Emmy Awards, while “The Bold and the Beautiful” managed to snag four. NBC’s “Days of our Lives” took home three Emmy awards, while ABC’s “General Hospital” garnered two. Meanwhile, Toln.com’s “All My Children” won three awards, while “One Life to Live” took home three, as well.

Last night, the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences officially announced the winners of the 41st annual Daytime Emmy Awards in a star-studded gala at The Beverly Hilton hotel in Los Angeles.
