When it was revealed that Chandler Massey (Will Horton) had re-shot Will Horton’s death scene, among others, previously shot with Guy Wilson in the role, it was only a matter of time before it was announced that Robert Scott Wilson would be returning to his role as Ben Rogers on the NBC daytime soap. After all, Ben was revealed to have been Will’s killer when the serial killer storyline reached its climax in 2015.
In an interview with Soap Opera Digest, published earlier this week, Wilson told the publication he was honored and excited to be returning to Salem. “I couldn’t have asked for a better entrance back to Salem — when no one sees it coming. Bad times don’t last, but bad guys do,” he said.
Fans can expect to see Wilson back in the role during the week of September 25.
Since he was last seen on the soap in 2016, Wilson has gone on to appear in the TV movie “I Know Where Lizzie Is.” In 2018, he’ll appear in the film “Father” and play the male lead in “The Girl Who Cried Wolf.”
