Comings & Goings
“All My Children” and “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” alum Sarah Michelle Gellar to play the Grim Reaper in supernatural romance film “Thud,” with Rudy Pankow as the devil.
On Monday afternoon, TV Guide Magazine revealed news that “General Hospital” actor Jonathan Jackson has decided to exit the role of Lucky Spencer on the ABC daytime drama. Sources indicate to the magazine that Jackson was denied a lighter schedule following two years of non-stop drama for his beleaguered character and that ultimately played into his decision to get out of Port Charles. Jackson was also apparently disappointed that his character never got the opportunity to properly reunite with his former love interest Elizabeth Webber played by Rebecca Herbst. The four-time Daytime Emmy Award winner will last tape on November 17.
‘One Life to Live’ updated comings and goings for November and other odds and ends.
As “One Life to Live” winds down production on its television run, the show has landed the mother of all returns — literally. Agnes Nixon, who created “OLTL” and sister soap “All My Children,” will make an appearance on the show as, what else, a soap opera scribe.
With “One Life to Live” nearing the end of its run on ABC Daytime, the list of returning former cast members is increasing. And, while the list is impressive, it is lacking one important ingredient for long-time fans of the soap.
When “One Life” fans last saw Charlie Banks (Brian Kerwin) earlier this year, he was leaving town in disgrace after his love affair with Echo DiSavoy (Kim Zimmer) was exposed, ending his marriage to Viki Lord (Erika Slezak). However that isn’t stopping him from creeping his way back into Llanview.
Tuc Watkins returns to “One Life to Live” once again as David Vickers Buchanan, becoming the latest in a series of former cast members returning to the show before it leaves ABC Daytime.
Casting changes for “One Life to Live” for the month of November.
Even though nearly a dozen “One Life to Live” cast members have already signed on to remain with the show when it moves to online production with Prospect Park in the coming months, at least one actress won’t be sticking around to make the transition. Terri Conn (Aubrey/Christine) tells Soap Opera Weekly that “I’m not going to stay.”
With the father of her unborn baby still in a coma, a very much pregnant Destiny Evans (Shenell Edmonds) continues to inch closer toward her due date. However, the teenage mother-to-be will soon be going through labor pains as “One Life to Live” is already looking to cast her little bundle of joy.
Buenos Dias Llanview! January LaVoy is reprising her role as Noelle Ortiz Stubbs, diner waitress turned close friend of Victoria Lord (Erika Slezak), according to Soap Opera Digest.
“One Life to Live” may be only weeks away from ending production on its ABC Daytime run, but that isn’t stopping the show from introducing a new character. Beginning early next month, Teresa Patel joins the cast in the recurring role of Vimal’s (Nick Choksi) younger sister Neela.
Sources have confirmed to Soap Opera Network that actress Erin Chambers is returning to ABC’s “General Hospital” in the near future. However, word has it that she might not be playing Siobhan McKenna, the role in which she originated back in September 2010.
