According to sources, the "All My Children" and "One Life to Live" head writing team changes occurred with Prospect Park deciding to release Marlene McPherson and Elizabeth Snyder ("AMC") and Thom Racina ("OLTL") from their contracts. This is in direct contrast to Susie Bedsow Horgan, who opted to exit her position as co-head writer of "OLTL" (with Racina) in early April, where we're told she cited personal reasons behind her decision.
When "One Life to Live" went off the air just over a year ago it was my favorite daily drama and it had been for quite some time. So, while the show’s ratings were rising, it was quite a shock to learn it had been canceled in 2011. I would be lying if I said I wasn’t nervous with the series coming back, but this time without executive producer Frank Valentini and head writer Ron Carlivati.
On the back cover of the newest double issue edition of TV Guide Magazine (dated April 22-May 5, 2013), those individuals who have yet to discover that "All My Children" and "One Life to Live" are now back in session will be in for a surprise when they see The OnLine Network's advertisement in the magazine proclaiming that "America's Favorite Dramas" premiere with new 30 minute daily episodes that can be viewed whenever they want, however they want and wherever they want via Hulu, Hulu Plus and iTunes beginning Monday, April 29.

In character, Lozano yells at Robert Gorrie's Matthew Buchanan on why he let her daughter do...
Soap Opera Network has learned exclusively that Susie Bedsow Horgan has decided to depart TOLN's "One Life to Live" as Co-Head Writer. It is understood that Bedsow Horgan has opted to leave the soap for personal reasons and informed Prospect Park of her decision late last week.
When "One Life to Live" returns next month, things won't exactly going well for at least one longtime Llanview resident. According to "OLTL" Co-Head Writer Thom Racina, technology and tough economic times may have finally caught up with the town's matriarch Victoria Lord (Erika Slezak) and her family's newspaper The Banner.
When we reported that Marlene McPherson (pictured right, with former "DAYS" co-head writer Darrell Ray Thomas) had been hired on as head writer of Prospect Park's version of "All My children" back on January 23, it was unclear at the time as to whether she would be joined by a co-head writer. Soap Opera Network has since learned that it'll be a "Days of our Lives" reunion of sorts for "AMC" as McPherson will be joined by Elizabeth Snyder, who was an Associate Head Writer at "DAYS" from 2011-2012.
In a short video message on his Facebook page, "One Life's" new co-head writer Thom Racina vows to fans that he and his fellow...
As recently noted, Prospect Park's "All My Children" and "One Life to Live" are currently in the casting phase of their reboots as we get closer to their expected first film date, which Soap Opera Network has learned will be in Mid February for both series in Stamford, CT.
