Before becoming Thor for millions of fans in the “Thor” film series or “The Avengers” cinematic universe, actor Chris Hemsworth was probably best known for his role on the Australian soap “Home and Away,” where he played Kimberly Jonathan “Kim” Hyde. Now a major movie star, Hemsworth has graced the cover of People Magazine as its “Sexiest Man Alive!” He’s not the only one though as several of daytime’s biggest and brightest stars of today and yesterday have also made the annual list of sexy men, which hits newsstands today.

On the Thursday, October 23 and Friday, October 24 episodes of ABC’s “The Chew,” the cooking show will feature a soap star in the kitchen as “General Hospital’s” Jason Thompson (Patrick Drake) and “All My Children” alum Mark Consuelos (ex-Mateo Santos) are set to join celebrity chefs Mario Batali, Michael Symon, and Carla Hall, entertaining expert Clinton Kelly and health and wellness enthusiast Daphne Oz for some fine dining.

In mid-April, Amazon Studios launched the 2013 “Watch the Shows. Call the Shots.” campaign in which viewers get to decide which pilot got picked up to series based on feedback and total views. This method differs from the traditional method in which executives at television networks such as ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, The CW, etc., order a project, decide which gets a pilot order, and then from the available crop decide which of those pilots gets picked up to series.

YouTube channel WIGS announced Wednesday that it has picked up Season Two of its web series, “Blue.” And guess what? “All My Children” alum, Mark Consuelos (Mateo Santos) will appear alongside the series’ star, Julia Stiles (“Silver Linings Playbook,” “10 Things I Hate About You”).

On Friday, ABC Daytime finally announced the return to the canvas that “All My Children” viewers were most anticipating since the news of the 41-year old daytime drama’s cancellation on ABC back in April. David Canary is returning to the 41-year old daytime drama as the one and only Adam Chandler. His return will coincide with the returns of long-time veterans Julia Barr, Ray MacDonnell and Lee Meriwether. The foursome will return to the Los Angeles studio to tape their scenes next month and are slated to air in approximately a handful of episodes this September
