Fans have long wondered when “General Hospital’s” contract cast would be a receiving a trimming, as it’s widely known that the series has quite a large group of actors that make up the Port Charles canvas, but it was anyone’s guess whose status would be changed. Soap Opera Network has learned that actors Marc Anthony Samuel (Felix DuBois), Kelly Thiebaud (Britt Westbourne) and John J. York (Mac Scorpio) have all been placed on recurring status. In the case of Thiebaud and Samuel, their status change will be reflected in the on air credits in the coming weeks. York has been listed as a recurring cast member since early October.

On the Thursday, August 21 episode of ABC’s “General Hospital,” Sabrina Santiago (Teresa Castillo) returned from her long trip away from Port Charles after looking to clear her head following the death of her son, Gabriel, with Patrick Drake (Jason Thompson). Upon her return, Sabrina is shocked to learn that for much of the time she had been gone Patrick knew who ran them off the road and caused their son’s death. She also learns that her best friend Felix Dubois (Marc Anthony Samuel) knew as well. Neither Patrick or Felix opted to call her to tell her because they feared what it would do to her mental state, as noted by Castillo in Soap Opera Network’s recent interview with the actress.

On today’s episode of ABC’s “General Hospital,” the tradition of the Nurses Ball continues with yet another male stripstease. Like last year, Milo (Drew Cheetwood) once again led some of the show’s hottest men, or “Magic Milo and the Magic Wands” as Lucy (Lynn Herring) excitedly referred them as, in a dance routine choreographed to AC/DC’s “You Shook Me All Night Long.” While there was some stiff competition amongst the characters in terms of who had the better stripper pose, the ladies in attendance sure had a good time either way as evidenced by Felicia (Kristina Wagner) chanting, “What a waist. What a chest. What an ass,” after an annoyed Levi (Zachary Garred) commented, “This is so tacky. Does a charity really need this? What a waste.”

Beginning Thursday, May 8 and running through Tuesday, May 13, ABC’s “General Hospital” will present the 2014 Nurses Ball sponsored by Yoplait Greek Yogurt. ABC.com recently published photos on its website providing viewers with a sneak peek at the event as well as some behind the scenes shots.

If you tuned into today’s episode of ABC’s “General Hospital” you saw two huge reveals for the character of Brad Cooper, portrayed by actor Parry Shen. In one, it was revealed that Brad and Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes) slept together after drowning their sorrows at the Floating Rib bar. In the other, it was revealed that Brad’s real father is Kim Wu from the 1980’s Asian Quarter storyline, which is famously remembered in flashbacks when a young Robin Scorpio (Kimberly McCullough) runs to the awaiting arms of her mother Anna Devanne (Finola Hughes). In fact, the scenes were recently aired when Robin once again reunited with her mother last year. In light of all the action and the drama, Soap Opera Network spoke with Shen about the huge storyline twists and turns that the soap was able to keep secret right up to the conclusion of today’s episode.
