Beginning Thursday, May 8 and running through Tuesday, May 13, ABC’s “General Hospital” will present the 2014 Nurses Ball sponsored by Yoplait Greek Yogurt. ABC.com recently published photos on its website providing viewers with a sneak peek at the event as well as some behind the scenes shots.

“General Hospital” Fan favorites Kirsten Storms (Maxie Jones), Brandon Barash (ex-Johnny Zacchara), Bradford Anderson (ex-Damien Spinelli), Kathleen Gati (Liesl Obrecht), Lynn Herring (Lucy Coe) and Kin Shriner (Scott Baldwin) are heading to Florida this fall as they get ready to party it up with fans in Orlando the weekend of Friday, November 7 through Sunday, November 9.

As previously reported, the annual “General Hospital” Fan Club weekend will take place from Thursday, July 31 through Monday, August 4 at the Sportmen’s Lodge Hotel and Events Center in Studio City, CA. Tickets for the Kick Off Cocktail Party, Main Cast and Blast from the Past – Part II events went on sale last week Monday.

There must be something in the water over at “General Hospital,” because not only are Kirsten Storms (Maxie Jones) and Teresa Castillo (Sabrina Santiago) pregnant, Bradford Anderson (ex-Spinelli) took to Twitter to announce that he and his wife are expecting a baby, as well!

As a result of the Friday, December 20 preemption, ABC’s “General Hospital’s” is currently behind in its airing schedule. What that means is that the previously scheduled “Home for the Holidays” themed episode set to air today, will instead air on Friday, December 27. Also shifted is the debut of “GH” newcomer Ryan Paevey in the contract role of Nathan West. The character, who was originally set to debut on tomorrow’s episode, will instead debut on the Monday, December 30 episode in scenes alongside Kirsten Storms’ Maxie Jones, who seeks to get out of town just as Port Charles gets ready to celebrate the New Year as a result of the recent baby drama and the need to clear her head. In real-life, Storms is headed for maternity leave as she’s due to give birth in January to a little girl by husband and former “GH” co-star, Brandon Barash (ex-Johnny Zacchara).

ABC’s “General Hospital” is fast becoming the place to be to hopefully find the one it seems as another pair of stars have revealed their real-life relationship status, this time via social media.

While the soap opera Twitter world was abuzz yesterday over the drama between “Days of our Lives’” Jen Lilley (Theresa Donovan) and “General Hospital’s” Kirsten Storms (Maxie Jones), “GH” actress Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis) was up to some social media shenanigans of her own!

Tongues started wagging when “Days of our Lives” star Greg Vaughan (Eric Brady) tweeted that Jen Lilley (ex-Maxie Jones, “General Hospital”) was the newest castmember to join the iconic show, and while the actor’s tweet was quickly pulled, the rumor spread like wildfire anyway. And it turns out, the news is true!

On Monday, April 1, ABC’s “General Hospital” turns 50! In honor of the event, fans have been anticipating the return of one of the shows grandest events…the Nurses Ball. While things don’t kick into high gear for the event until the Friday, April 5 episode, we at Soap Opera Network wanted to make sure you got a glimpse of some of your favorite actors before their characters start singing, dancing, and throwing punches.

When word broke that Brandon Barash would be departing ABC’s “General Hospital” after five years portraying the contract role of Johnny Zacchara on the daytime drama series, many fans began to wonder if we had already seen the last of the actor on screen as the character hadn’t appeared on the canvas in some time. Turns out we haven’t seen the last of Barash on “GH” just yet, but we will soon. The last time People Magazine offerred a collector’s edition of a soap opera was in September 2011, when the mag celebrated the life and history of the then canceled “All My Children.” This time the magazine is celebrating the continued life and history of “General Hospital” with a special 50th Anniversary collector’s edition that finds Luke and Laura Spencer (Anthony Geary and Genie Francis), Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms), Sonny Corinthos and Brenda Barrett (Maurice Benard and Vanessa Marcil), Duke Lavery and Anna Devane (Ian Buchanan and Finola Highes), and Jagger Cates (Antonio Sabato Jr.) gracing the cover.

As part of the on going promotion of “General Hospital” and its 50th anniversary season through social networking, actress Kirsten Storms (Maxie Jones) will be tweeting live with fans during today’s East Coast broadcast of the ABC drama series.

“Happy Back to Work Day!!!! YAY!!” said Kirsten Storms (Maxie Jones) in a tweet earlier today as she prepared for her first day back on the set of ABC’s “General Hospital.” The actress also tweeted a photo of her script that was tucked away in her purse, saying “Bag packed.
