“The Bold and the Beautiful” announces return to originals, releases the first teasers of what’s to come in the fictionalized iteration of Los Angeles.

It didn’t take long for Taylor Swift’s “Look What You Made Me Do” to trend on Twitter shortly after its release early Friday, and ABC was quick to take advantage of it all. The network quickly unleashed an all-new TGIT promo featuring the song with previously used clips from flagship dramas “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Scandal” and “How to Get Away with Murder.”

The creative home of “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Scandal” and “How to Get Away with Murder,” among others, is leaving its longtime home at ABC Studios for a rich overall multi-year deal at Netflix, the streaming giant behind the likes of “The Crown,” “Master of None” and “House of Cards.”

First reported by The New York Times, Paul Lee has stepped down as president, ABC Entertainment Group, effective immediately. Ben Sherwood, co-chairman, Disney Media Networks and president, Disney|ABC Television Group, has named Channing Dungey as Lee’s successor as president, ABC Entertainment. Dungey, who is credited with the successful launch of such shows as “Scandal,” “Criminal Minds,” “How to Get Away with Murder,” “Quantico,” “Army Wives” and “Once Upon A Time,” will report directly to Sherwood. Patrick Moran, executive vice president, ABC Studios, will continue to oversee day-to-day operations, and will also report directly to Mr. Sherwood.

As previously reported, actor Matt Cohen (“How to Get Away with Murder”) has recently joined the cast of ABC’s “General Hospital” in the role of Griffin Munro, Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) new doctor who shares a past connection with someone already in Port Charles. On Tuesday, December 9, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) announced the nominees for the 46th Annual NAACP Image Awards. For the first time since at least 1994, when the category was first recognized, no actor or actress from a daytime drama series was nominated in the Outstanding Actor or Outstanding Actress in a Daytime Drama Series following the organizations decision not to include the categories this year. Representatives for the NAACP have yet to officially comment on the matter at press time.

It should come as no surprise that CBS has handed full season episode orders to all four of its new dramas, including the #1 and #2 new series of the season, “NCIS: New Orleans” and “Scorpion,” Sunday’s #1 scripted broadcast, “Madam Secretary,” and the time period-winning suspense thriller “Stalker.”
