Casey Deidrick, who portrays Chad DiMera on “Days of our Lives,” announced today on Twitter that he’s departing the NBC Daytime drama series after completing filming of his final episode, which per a tweeted image is expected to air in late October.

Background: Errol is one of the premier voices covering all five daily daytime dramas, including "Beyond the Gates," "The Bold and the Beautiful," "Days of our Lives," "General Hospital" and "The Young and the Restless." He began watching soaps in 1993, around the time Luke and Laura Spencer returned to “General Hospital,” but they weren’t what got him watching regularly. “It was Lucy Coe and her duck Sigmond,” he says of how he got started with soaps.
He received his BA from Baruch College, double-majoring in English Literature and Journalism, and double-minoring in Communications and Psychology. He also holds an AA in Business Administration.
After Prospect Park announced on Wednesday, June 5 that production would cease a week early on “One Life to Live,” as a result of a dispute between the company and I.A.T.S.E. New York Production Locals 52, 161, 600, 700, 764, 798 and USA829 (International Alliance of Theatrical and Stage Employees), the union representing stage workers for the soaps, which alleged that Prospect Park has violated the labor agreement with the union, Prospect announced today that both sides have come to an agreement.
Prospect Park’s The OnLine Network has announced that beginning with today’s episode of “One Life to Live,” all swear words in new episodes of both “OLTL” and “All My Children” have been eliminated. “AMC” episodes without swear words will begin airing on Monday, June 24.
On the Tuesday, June 18 episode of CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful,” Rick Forrester and Maya Avant (portrayed by actors Jacob Young and Karla Mosley) made love with the appropriately titled song “We Got Love” playing in the background.

According to Soap Opera Digest, “General Hospital’s” Tyler Christopher (Nikolas Cassadine) is back on contract with the ABC Daytime drama series. The actor is quoted by the mag as saying, “It took us a few months to work out the details, but I signed last week.” He added, “I’m really happy about it. I love the show and I’m having a great time.”
