Background: Errol is one of the premier voices covering all five daily daytime dramas, including "Beyond the Gates," "The Bold and the Beautiful," "Days of our Lives," "General Hospital" and "The Young and the Restless." He began watching soaps in 1993, around the time Luke and Laura Spencer returned to “General Hospital,” but they weren’t what got him watching regularly. “It was Lucy Coe and her duck Sigmond,” he says of how he got started with soaps.

He received his BA from Baruch College, double-majoring in English Literature and Journalism, and double-minoring in Communications and Psychology. He also holds an AA in Business Administration.

If things look a little bit different around here it’s because things are different. As promised on our social networks, we have been working very hard behind the scenes leading up to this Thanksgiving holiday weekend to bring you the best user experience at Soap Opera Network, which not only includes the most up-to-date soap opera related content, but also a more visually appealing layout with page speed in mind. As a result of our new design, there will be plenty of new features we’ll be able to play around with that’ll provide our readers with the best presentation of our content, including this puppy.

On Monday, December 1, the moment of truth arrives for Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle), Stitch Rayburn (Sean Carrigan) and Billy Abbott (Burgess Jenkins) on CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” as the trio finally learns who the father of Victoria’s baby truly is. In a promo highlighting Monday’s episode, Victoria tells her newborn baby girl, Katie, “It’s time to find out who you’re going to be calling daddy…”

On Sunday, December 14, “The Young and the Restless'” Amelia Heinle (Victoria Newman), along with her new venture DearMarch.com, will be hosting a charity event for BelieveBig.org, a non-profit whose vision is to assist cancer patients and their families discover their pathway to healing. All money raised will be donated to BelieveBig.org in honor of Amelia’s sister, Jane, who is battling cancer. Joining Heinle will be former “Y&R” co-star and real-life husband, Thad Luckinbill (ex-J.T. Hellstrom), along with current co-stars Joshua Morrow (Nicholas Newman), Eric Braeden (Victor Newman), Melissa Claire Egan (Chelsea Newman) and Jess Walton (Jill Abbott), just to name a few.

Nearly two months after filming completed, singer Roxanna has released the full music video for her single, “Here with Me,” the highly anticipated prequel to 2012’s “Unforgotten.” Both music videos feature former “Days of our Lives” star James Scott (ex-EJ DiMera), who described his character as being “…a little bit more refined, more of a James Cagney type character.” He noted, “there is a real elegance and beauty to this story. It has a much more romantic sensibility, much more fantasy… It is less intense in terms of the overt physical dynamic between the two characters, but I think that the underplay of the relationship between the two is actually much, much more intense.”

According to published reports, CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” has let go Josh O’Connell, a longtime associate producer with the series. O’Connell, who began his career with the soap in various production positions in the mid-1990s, had been an associate producer at “Y&R” since 2003.

While Eileen Davidson (“Days of our Lives,” “The Young and the Restless”) won’t be appearing on the reality series until its third episode, Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” managed to snag its highest-rated season premiere in over three years, according to Nielsen Media Research ratings data, with 2 million total viewers tuning in, up 25 percent from the prior season premiere (11/4/13), on Tuesday, November 18. The renewed success of “Beverly Hills Housewives” follows the recent performance of “The Real Houseweives of Atlanta,” which premiered its seventh season on Sunday, November 9 and became the network’s highest-rated season premiere in Bravo history with over 4.5 million total viewers (based on L+3 ratings data) and 2.7 million Adults 18-49 (based on L+3 ratings data), up 26 percent and 27 percent respectively from the season six premiere.

While it’s unclear whether it had anything to do with the rescheduling of an episode featuring the men of CBS’ “The Young and the Restless,” Sony Pictures Television produced daytime talker, “The Queen Latifah Show,” has been canceled, it was announced today by the studio. In a statement Sony said, “We want to thank Dana [real-life name of Queen Latifah], the producers and the entire staff of ‘The Queen Latifah Show’ for creating a program that we are all very proud of. Thank you also to our terrific station partners and advertisers who supported the show.” The talk show premiered in the fall of 2013 with tepid ratings, which did not improve during season two.

Before becoming Thor for millions of fans in the “Thor” film series or “The Avengers” cinematic universe, actor Chris Hemsworth was probably best known for his role on the Australian soap “Home and Away,” where he played Kimberly Jonathan “Kim” Hyde. Now a major movie star, Hemsworth has graced the cover of People Magazine as its “Sexiest Man Alive!” He’s not the only one though as several of daytime’s biggest and brightest stars of today and yesterday have also made the annual list of sexy men, which hits newsstands today.

As previously reported, the men of CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” will be appearing on the Wednesday, November 26 edition of syndicated daytime talk show, “The Queen Latifah Show.” Look for “Y&R’s” Peter Bergman (Jack Abbott), Justin Hartley (Adam Newman), Daniel Goddard (Cane Ashby), Bryton James (Devon Hamilton) and Joshua Morrow (Nicholas Newman) to have a sit down chat with host Queen Latifah as they talk about their best “Y&R” kisses and their first scenes. Look for Bergman to reminisce on his 25 years at the soap while Hartley shows off his famous dimples! Before the episode airs, Soap Opera Network has your first look with the men on the Sony Pictures Studios lot in Culver City, California, where the talk show is filmed.

On Monday, November 24, daytime icon and soap legend Genie Francis (“General Hospital,” “Days of our Lives,” “All My Children”) will appear alongside “Home & Family’s” Mark Steines and Cristina Ferrare for a primetime holiday-themed edition of the popular Hallmark Channel talk show. In the special, Francis stops by with her own side dish of Brussel’s sprouts with pancetta.
