On May 18, 2011, Robert Guza Jr. was fired as head writer of “General Hospital” and Garin Wolf was named the new head writer. With Guza leaving, it’s not surprising that his wife, breakdown writer Meg Bennett, was also let go from the show. Breakdown writer David Goldschmid was also fired. It appears that not even death can keep Gigi Morasco (Farah Fath) away from Llanview and her beloved Rex (John-Paul Lavoisier). Fath revealed recently that, even after her character’s demise, “I can’t say that I’m 100% done with the show.” True to her word, the actress brings Gigi back to “Life” in the coming weeks when Rex needs her the most. As we previously reported, Robin Strasser (Dorian) is leaving “One Life to Live” before the show wraps up on its television run on ABC due to reports that she was contemplating having back surgery. Having taped her last scenes on Friday, June 24, we now know when Llanview’s grand dame will make her final appearance on the show.

On Friday, ABC Daytime finally announced the return to the canvas that “All My Children” viewers were most anticipating since the news of the 41-year old daytime drama’s cancellation on ABC back in April. David Canary is returning to the 41-year old daytime drama as the one and only Adam Chandler. His return will coincide with the returns of long-time veterans Julia Barr, Ray MacDonnell and Lee Meriwether. The foursome will return to the Los Angeles studio to tape their scenes next month and are slated to air in approximately a handful of episodes this September
