IT HAPPENED TODAY…
Griffin is doing community service when Kendall approaches and asks if he found anything out from David. He admits he hasn’t heard back after all he’s done for David. Griffin tells Kendall he knew a different David from the one they all know. He talks about how David taught him everything he knows, even how to save her life that day in the ambulance. Kendall says David saves people for his own purposes and tells Griffin about Maria Santos. He presses her for more information and Kendall admits that he locked her away after an accident. Maria’s plane went down like Zach’s and Zach was involved with her before Kendall. Eva La Rue returns to AMC for her first appearance as Maria Santos.
JR drops AJ off at Tad’s and Cara overhears him saying that he didn’t want AJ watching Marissa pack up and leave again. Tad asks if he needs a few drinks to handle it and suggests he attend an AA meeting. JR says he doesn’t need one and tries to convince Tad that one slip is no big deal. Cara makes her presence known when JR brings up Tad & Cara’s fake marriage. Tad wonders what Dixie would think right now of her son. JR tells him to leave her out of this; she’s dead and not coming back. Tad’s sorry Cara had to witness his tough love with JR. Tad gets a delivery from Dixie’s father; in the box is Dixie’s diary. Scott finds Marissa and wants to know what JR’s done this time. Marissa admits she’s in love with Bianca and Scott’s surprised but happy for her. He assumes JR didn’t take the news to well. Marissa notices an empty liquor bottle and has a feeling he took it harder than she thought. Scott tells her not to feel responsible for JR’s drinking. JR kicks Marissa out and assumes Scott wants to laugh at him. Scott tries to explain that Marissa’s decision was not a personal attack on him. But he’s glad she is a lesbian because it means she’ll never be with JR again. JR looks at a picture of Dixie and apologizes for messing up.
Liza thinks Jesse is happy she lost her job and he admits he was happy to hear it until he found out it was because of him. Liza admits she didn’t want to be the same person she was a few years ago because she lost Colby because of her old behavior.
While bonding with Angie, Maya ignores several calls on her cell. Angie asks if she’s in trouble but Maya says it’s just her aunt calling. Maya tells Mookie to stop calling and Angie wonders why she tries to convince herself he’s a good guy. Maya explains that Mookie moved to NY to be with her so she should have told him about her new job. Jesse overhears Maya telling Frankie she is letting go of the guilt of giving up her baby and privately reacts. He confides his concerns to Brot that Maya could be Lucy’s mother. They agree she can’t be but when Mookie shows up Jesse’s concerned and wants to do a DNA test as soon as possible.
Jake gets Amanda’s test results and says they found some abnormal cells so he scheduled a biopsy for today. Jake tells Tad about Amanda’s test results and fears it may be cancer. Amanda puts on a brave front but when Jake holds her their fear is apparent.
