On the Thursday, May 2 episode of “,” finally revealed what the ABC finale in 2011 left viewers clamoring to know…Who Did JR Shoot? Fans will remember that the character was drunk and aiming his gun at at unknown individual(s) when shots were fired and the show faded to black. Now in 2013, we have our answer and sadly, some of you will not be happy.

A character proclaims, “Pine Valley lost a part of its soul that night, but today the sun shines bright.” That day in particular is Monday, April 29, when “” premieres with all new episodes via , Plus and with Pine Valley’s citizens having picked things up five years after that traumatic night Adam Chandler () and Brooke English () celebrated their engagement and a shot went off. Fans will quickly be able to jump right back into the soap where “cute, sexy, action and adventure, romance and sex” may be a simple way to summarize the storytelling on any given daytime soap, but on “AMC” things are just all the better.

The behind-the-scenes drama that’s been brewing since filed a lawsuit against ABC on April 18 is about to get even soapier! According to a story in The Hollywood Reporter, Prospect Park producers wished to buy ad space for “” and “” during broadcast soaps (“,” “,” “,” and “”), but CBS and NBC allegedly refused to help promote the competition — and in light of the $25 million lawsuit Prospect Park launched against ABC, the alphabet network isn’t willing to run spots for the show, either!
