With its combination of soaps, game shows and a talk show, the CBS Daytime lineup consisting of “The Young and the Restless,” “The Bold and the Beautiful,” “Let’s Make a Deal,” “The Price is Right” and “The Talk” posted growth during the November 2013 sweeps period, according to Nielsen Live Plus Sam Day ratings data.

It’s a baby kind of day today: Not only are “The Young and the Restless’” Robert Adamson (Noah Newman) and “The Bold and the Beautiful’s’” Linsey Godfrey expecting their first child together (which you can read more about here), “One Life to Live” alums Kamar de los Reyes (ex-Antonio Vega) and Sherri Saum (ex-Keri Reynolds; Lena, “The Fosters”) are reportedly expecting twins!

The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS) announced yesterday that it’s going to be easier than ever for entrants to submit material for the 41st Annual Daytime Emmy race and for voters to get their voices heard, as the entire process has shifted to an online space! In addition, entries for this year’s awards ceremony are now being accepted, and submission are open in all 81 Daytime categories.

According to Deadline, actor Dylan Neal (“The Bold and the Beautiful,” “Dawson’s Creek”) is scheduled to begin filming this week in Vancouver for “Fifty Shades of Grey,” the film adaptation of EL James’ bestselling novel of the same name. Neal will portray Bob, Anastasia Steele’s (Dakota Johnson) stepfather and the husband of Carla Adams (Jennifer Ehle). Scheduled to hit theaters on Friday, February 13, 2015 as both a rated R film and rated NC-17 in theaters willing to offer it, “Fifty Shades” and its followup novels centers on the erotic relationship between Anastasia and Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan).

As previously reported, TVGN (TV Guide Network) will begin airing encore episodes of CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful” weeknights at 6:30 PM ET/PT starting today. In celebration, the network will be hosting a live Twitter chat with “B&B” stars Heather Tom (Katie Logan) and Scott Clifton (Liam Spencer). Using hashtag #BBonTVGN, fans can interact with the duo beginning at 6:00 PM ET/3:00 PM/PT as they answer fan questions just before TVGN’s airing of their show. The actors will be using their twitter handles @BBheathertom and @CliftonsNotes to interact so make sure to follow both actors on the social media website.

Unlike “The Young and the Restless,” which also airs on the network at 7:00 PM ET/PT, “B&B” will air episodes a day after airing on CBS. Therefore, the first episode scheduled air will be the Wednesday, November 27 Thanksgiving Day themed episode which highlighted the togetherness between the Forresters, Logans, Spencers and more.

CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful” will be joining sister soap “The Young and the Restless” on cable for the first time ever when it begins airing encore episodes on TVGN (TV Guide Network) beginning Monday, December 2 at 6:30 PM ET/PT, it was announced today by Brad Schwartz, President, Entertainment and Media, TVGN and Bradley P. Bell, Executive Producer and Head Writer, “The Bold and the Beautiful.”

TVGN will encore the prior day’s episodes of “B&B” immediately preceding encore airings of “Y&R.” Additionally, TVGN will begin airing the five most recent episodes of the soap back-to-back every Sunday beginning Sunday, December 8 from 11:00 AM ET/PT to 1:30 PM ET/PT.

It’s not uncommon for soap opera stars to appear in music videos (we’ve even done features about it in the past), but “General Hospital’s” Sean Kanan (A.J. Quartermaine; ex-Deacon Sharpe, “The Bold and the Beautiful”/“The Young and the Restless”) and his wife, Michele Kanan, have turned the tables: The duo actually made their own music video specifically about the genre!

As we previously reported, “The Bold and the Beautiful” producer Colleen Bell — wife of the show’s executive producer, Bradley P. Bell — has been on track to become the next U.S. Ambassador to Hungary, and the White House announced just yesterday that President Obama has made her nomination in the role official!

Daytime’s number one rated show, “The Young and the Restless,” can’t be stopped! Not only has the sudser maintained the top spot in soap opera ratings for a consecutive 1,294 weeks, the latest Nielsen ratings reveal that the show notched nearly five million viewers for the week ending Sunday, October 27 — its largest audience in nearly two years!
