He’s certainly been making a name for himself on CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful” now that it’s been revealed that his character, Wyatt Fuller, is the secret son of Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) and the half brother of rival Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton), but in the online series “Bloomers,” which tells the story of seven 20-something friends growing up in the city of Los Angeles who aren’t ready to bloom into their 30s, Darin Brooks finds himself dealing with a different kind of family drama.

As previously reported, “The Bachelor’s” Jake Pavelka will be making a return visit to CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful” as the Forrester Pilot. When we first reported the news on Soap Opera Network, a first airdate hadn’t been revealed but we can now report that the sometimes actor is scheduled to appear on the Friday, August 9 episode of the daytime drama series. It’s understood he shares scenes with Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Logan Forrester) and Jennifer Gareis (Donna Logan).

“What happens when two attractive young people – an unemployed business analyst and a budding comic-book artist – unknowingly rent the same apartment, the only one that each can afford? They reluctantly decide to move in together, and that’s when the sparks fly as opposite worlds collide, in ‘Room 8,’ the new online series debuting Thursday, August 8 on Room8TheSeries.com,” is the opening statement from a press release promoting the evolution of a show within a show turning into an actual show.

In an exclusive interview with TV Guide’s Michael Logan, “The Bold and the Beautiful’s” Lawrence Saint-Victor (Carter Walton) revealed that the CBS Daytime drama series will be turning its show within a show into a show. “Room 8,” the fictional web series that finds Carter and Maya Avant (Karla Mosley) appearing as Lance and Scarlett, will be turning into a real web series courtesy of CBS.com.

Anyone who follows “General Hospital’s” Jack Wagner (Frisco Jones, ex-Dominick Marone, “The Bold and the Beautiful”) on Twitter knows that he’s used the social media site to air a lot of personal thoughts over the past few weeks following the death of his dog, Stanley. The actor has opened up about loss and addiction, among other things. But this week, he’s taken his admissions to a whole new level by bashing ‘GH’ and the way the executives and writers handled the sudser’s 50th anniversary!

Casting for Hallmark’s upcoming backdoor pilot, “My Gal Sunday” has been in full swing, and three of the series’ major players have finally been confirmed: Jack Wagner (Frisco Jones, “General Hospital;” ex-Dominick Marone, “The Bold and the Beautiful”), Cameron Mathison (ex-Ryan Lavery, “All My Children”) and Rachel Blanchard (“Clueless;” “7th Heaven”).

Remember that rap video teaser showing Sean Kanan (AJ Quartermaine, “General Hospital”) rapping alongside some of daytime’s finest men including Ronn Moss (ex-Ridge Forrester, “The Bold and the Beautiful”) and Joshua Morrow (Nicholas Newman, “The Young and the Restless”)? Turns out you’ll finally get a chance to view the video in its entirety during Kanan’s upcoming November appearance schedule as part of his birthday bash weekend. From Saturday, November 2 (Kanan’s actual birthday) through Sunday, November 3, Kanan has scheduled appearances in New York and New Jersey that’ll include a screening of the rap video “I’m a Soap Star,” stand-up comedy, an autograph signing, and posing with fans.

America’s most watched network (CBS) and the second largest cable operator in the country (Time Warner Cable) are battling it out over retransmission fees and come Wednesday, July 24, fans of CBS’ programming including “The Young and the Restless,” “The Bold and the Beautiful,” “The Talk,” “The Big Bang Theory,” “2 Broke Girls,” and more could find their screens blackened if they live in:

In an exclusive interview with TV Guide’s Michael Logan, former “Big Brother” star and current CBS.com host, Jeff Schroeder, revealed that’s he’s scheduled to make a return visit to CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful” in scenes set to air Tuesday, August 27. The reality star and actor was last seen on the soap in October 2009, alongside real-life love and “Brother” contestant Jordan Lloyd. Schroeder will appear in scenes involving the production of Room 8, the show-within-a-show starring Maya (Karla Mosley) and Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor), per the publication.

They say fast-paced soap operas are good training grounds for primetime gigs, and that must be the case, considering several former soap stars have garnered Primetime Emmy nods this year! In light of the official announcement of the 65th Annual Primetime Emmy Award nominees, Soap Opera Network brings you the who, what and where of stars who’ve given sudsers a go.

The recent death of “Glee’s” Cory Monteith, who died of a heroin overdose in a Vancouver hotel on Saturday, July 13, hit the show’s fans just as hard as the death of “The Young and the Restless’” Jeanne Cooper (Katherine Chancellor) hit soap fans earlier this year — if not more so, considering the Fox star was only 31. The powers that be at “Y&R” scrambled to come up with an appropriate way to handle Cooper’s death onscreen, leading to a beautiful tribute episode in which castmembers — as themselves rather than their characters — shared their favorite memories of the legendary lady. And The Boston Herald thinks that “Glee” should follow suit.

Real life pilot Jake Pavelka, best known as the star of ABC’s 14th season of “The Bachelor” and season two of “Bachelor Pad,” will reprise his role as the pilot of the Forrester private jet on CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful.” The actor taped his scenes on Friday, June 21, per a tweet in which the actor/reality star said, “Some quick touch ups before filming a scene. This stuff makes my face break out!” The tweet was accompanied by an image showing Pavelka getting ready in hair and makeup. In the background fans can spot Don Diamont’s Bill Spencer and an unknown blonde either working through their scripts or their characters going over paperwork.
