Background: Errol is one of the premier voices covering all five daily daytime dramas, including "Beyond the Gates," "The Bold and the Beautiful," "Days of our Lives," "General Hospital" and "The Young and the Restless." He began watching soaps in 1993, around the time Luke and Laura Spencer returned to “General Hospital,” but they weren’t what got him watching regularly. “It was Lucy Coe and her duck Sigmond,” he says of how he got started with soaps.

He received his BA from Baruch College, double-majoring in English Literature and Journalism, and double-minoring in Communications and Psychology. He also holds an AA in Business Administration.

Former “Days of our Lives” star Dylan Patton, who was nominated for Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series for his portrayal of Will Horton in 2010, was arrested on Tuesday, May 14, after allegedly selling cocaine out of his Agoura Hills home, TMZ first reported. Patton had been charged with felony possession of cocaine with the intent to sell and was sentenced to three years probation after pleading no contest on Thursday, June 13.

On Sunday, June 16, during “The 40th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards,” NBC’s “Days of our Lives” won its first Outstanding Drama Series Emmy Award in 35 years. The last time the show won in this category was in 1978! In addition to the drama series Emmy, “DAYS” also won for Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series (Chandler Massey as “Will Horton”), Outstanding Live & Direct to Tape Sound Mixing for a Drama Series (Zoli Osaze, Re-recording Mixer; Roger Cortes, Production Mixer; Jacqueline Frazier, Hector Sarabia, Harry Young, Boom Operators) and Outstanding Stunt Coordination for a Drama Series (Terry James, Stunt Coordinator).

EXCLUSIVE: On Sunday, June 16, Soap Opera Network had the distinct pleasure of speaking with actress Jen Lilley during “The 40th Annual Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards” about her joining NBC’s rejuvenated “Days of our Lives.” The actress gives us a brief tease into her character and talks about her time on “General Hospital” as Maxie Jones!

Going into Sunday’s Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards telecast, the Disney/ABC Television Group was the most honored television group with 50 nominations covering all genres including talk shows (“The View,” “Katie” and “Live with Kelly and Michael”), game shows (“Who Wants to Be A Millionaire”), soap operas (“General Hospital” and “One Life to Live”), amongst many others. By the end of the big night however, the combined television group went home with 11 statues (two during broadcast and nine from the Creative Arts on Friday)

Going into Sunday’s Daytime Entertainment Emmy Awards telecast, CBS Daytime was the most honored network with 51 nominations. By the end of the night, the network went home with 21 statues (eight during broadcast and 13 from creative arts on Friday) covering all genres including soap operas “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “The Young and the Restless,” game shows “The Price is Right” and “Let’s Make a Deal” and talk show “The Talk.”
