Cast members from “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “The Young and the Restless” will be heading back to Monaco for the annual Monte-Carlo Television Festival.

In a late Sunday night press release, CBS Corporation announced that it has agreed to acquire Australia’s Network Ten for an undisclosed amount. The deal includes the core linear broadcast network TEN, digital terrestrial television channel (DTT) ELEVEN, which CBS already owned a 33 percent stake in, the DTT channel ONE and Network Ten’s rapidly growing digital platform, TENPLAY. The broadcaster is home to the Australian airings of “The Bold and the Beautiful,” which filmed a number of episodes in the country earlier this year to coincide with its 30th anniversary.

While he turns 38 years old on Sunday, September 10, “The Bold and the Beautiful’s” Jacob Young (Rick Forrester) won’t let that pesky little detail stop him from performing at the South Point Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas as part of his big birthday celebration! The actor and musician has signed on to headline a Vegas show alongside fellow singer and friend Vanessa LeGrand.

“The Bold and the Beautiful” is once again headed outside of its CBS Television City based studio for a trip overseas as part of an upcoming location shoot. This time the world’s most watched soap is heading back to Australia for what looks to be a 30th anniversary trip down memory lane.

Although the episode isn’t scheduled to air until March, “The Bold and the Beautiful’s” Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Forrester) is opening up about playing herself on the Australian soap “Neighbours.”

As previously reported, the entire cast of the South African based SABC1 soap “Generations,” not to be confused with the American soap with the same name that aired on NBC, were fired following demands of better pay.

Retitled as “Generations: The Legacy,” producers kept their promise of replacing the cast with a new set of actors and stories as the series returned earlier this month with a story that brings the soap two years into the future.

Fans of “The Bold and the Beautiful,” “Days of our Lives,” “General Hospital” and “The Young and the Restless” are very vocal online and social media talking about wanting to see more of the veteran characters and actors of their favorite soap after claims that more attention is being given to the new actors and/or characters, but could they handle an entirely new cast of actors and the introduction of new characters all in one fell swoop? That’s what fans of the South African based SABC soap “Generations,” not to be confused with NBC’s “Generations,” will have to get used to. The show has fired its entire cast after they all refused to return to the Johannesburg studio, where the show is filmed, following demands of better pay, reports BBC News.

For the ninth consecutive year CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful” received a nomination for the Monte Carlo Television Festival’s International TV Audience Awards, which honors programs that garnered the highest number of viewers worldwide in 2013 across five continents. “B&B” is nominated in the “Telenovela/Soap Opera” category. To coincide with its nomination, the soap has announced the addition of Australian actress Ashleigh Brewer (ex- Kate Ramsay, “Neighbours”) to its cast in the newly created contract role of Ivy Forrester, who is the niece of patriarch Eric Forrester (John McCook).

According to Deadline Hollywood, “Magic Mike: The Musical” is heading to Broadway. Per the website, producers are actively working to turn the Channing Tatum blockbuster film about male strippers in Florida into a musical with Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey set to write songs, and Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa signed to write the book for the Broadway version. The film, released in 2012, was directed by Steven Soderbergh, who along with Tatum, Reid Carolin, Gregory Jacobs, and Nick Wechsler serve as producers on the musical.

“All My Children’s” Walt Willey (ex-Jack Montgomery) has traded in his Pine Valley cohorts for some characters with much less sex appeal: a group of puppets!

While Billy Magnussen (ex-Casey Hughes, “As The World Turns”) did not win Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Play for his performance as Spike in “Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike,” the play itself did win in the category of Best Play. Written by Christopher Durang, “Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike” tells the story of Vanya (David Hyde Piece, “Frasier”) and Sonia (Kristine Nielsen,”Political Animals”) and Masha (Sigourney Weaver, “Political Animals”) and Spike (Magnussen), who together turn a generally quiet household into a standing circus full of intrigue and super fun.

So for me the real thing is to have been nominated and to have been acknowledged in this way, which is really an acknowledgment of this extraordinary play by Richard Greenberg. This brilliant direction by Lynne Medow and this cast, which is my heart… I’m so appreciative, I really am,” said Judith Light (ex-Karen Wolek, “One Life to Live”) on the red carpet of the 2013 Tony Awards just moments before taking home her second Tony on Sunday, June 9. The actress won for Best Performance by an Actress in a Featured Role in a Play for her work as Faye in “The Assembled Parties.” The play also stars Jake Silbermann (ex-Noah Mayer, “As The World Turns”) playing the dual role of Scotty/Tim.

It’s been awhile since Terri Conn (ex-Aubrey Wentworth, “One Life to Live;” ex-Katie Peretti, “As the World Turns”) has been in the public eye, but that’s all about to change! The actress will be joining Anthony Rapp (“Kidnapped,” “Adventures in Babysitting”) and Patrick James Lynch (“At the Top of the Pyramid”) in leading a benefit reading of “Deleted Scenes,” an event that will generate proceeds to help the Hemophilia Association of New York.

Described as the love story behind “Doctor Zhivago,” the award-winning play “Lightning from Heaven,” written by “General Hospital” script writer Scott Sickles, will open for a limited engagement at New York City’s WorkShop Theater beginning Thursday, February 14th.

On Thursday, January 24, former “All My Children” star Christina Bennett Lind (ex-Bianca Montgomery) began appearing in the role of Susy Hendrix, a blind woman who finds herself opening doors to a psychopathic game of deceit and murder, in the John W. Engeman Theater Production of “Wait Until Dark.”

On Wednesday, January 30, “General Hospital’s” Sean Kanan (AJ Quartermaine) will be putting his comedic chops on display for Mavrick Artists Agency’s Comedy Showcase being held in Los Angeles, CA. The event is being hosted by Lorenzo Lamas, who co-starred with Kanan back in the early 2000’s on “The Bold and the Beautiful.” Lamas portrayed Hector Ramirez on the CBS daytime soap.

“One Life to Live’s” Matt Walton (ex-Elijah Clark/Elijah Kent) and “Passions” actress Erin Cardillo (ex-Esme Vanderheusen) have come together for a new comedy at the Pasadena Playhouse.

Televisions most watched daily serialized drama series, CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful,” will be heading back to Italy next month to film eight to ten future episodes over the course of five days in the southern Italian region of Puglia as well as in and around the Masseria San Domenico and Borgo Egnazia resorts. This marks the soaps fourth trip to Italy after Lake Como in 1997, Venice in 1999 and Portofino in 2002.
