In honor of ABC’s “The Goldbergs” receiving its first ever TV Guide Magazine cover, the publication has turned back the dial with an all ’80s-themed issue, due out on newsstands later this week. With anticipation of returning characters, historic moments, and happy memories upon us as “Days of our Lives” celebrates its 50th anniversary later this fall, the daytime drama series is set to release a new photo book titled “Days of our Lives: 50 Years,” which was pieced together by co-executive producer Greg Meng. As part of the release, a multi-city promotional tour has been scheduled.

Susan Lucci, former star of “All My Children” (ex-Erica Kane) and a “Dancing with the Stars” contestant, will be joined by Blondie legend Debbie Harry, Christie Brinkley and Brooke Shields for a comedic reading of the 2010 release, “Kardashian Konfidential,” reports The New York Post. Before becoming Thor for millions of fans in the “Thor” film series or “The Avengers” cinematic universe, actor Chris Hemsworth was probably best known for his role on the Australian soap “Home and Away,” where he played Kimberly Jonathan “Kim” Hyde. After saying goodbye to friends and colleagues on Friday, May 23 as she wrapped filming her 21 year run as Samantha “Sami” Brady on NBC’s “Days of our Lives,” Alison Sweeney is gearing up for the release of “Scared Scriptless,” her fourth book. The actress will appear at the NBC Experience Store in New York on Tuesday, June 3 signing purchased copies of her book, which is being released by Hyperion the same day.

Playboy may have found popularity by publishing risqué photos of women, but as the old excuse goes, some people actually read it “for the articles.” And those who picked up the March 2014 issue of the popular mag for reading purposes only were in for a lovely daytime related surprise: The publication stripped down popular primetime series made predominately for a male audience and declares they’re exactly like “The Bold and the Beautiful,” The Young and the Restless,” “General Hospital,” and “Days of our Lives” — with a manly twist.

As previously reported, CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful” announced a new partnership with Pan Macmillan and its digital-first imprint, Momentum, in which the publishing company will release a series of novellas surrounding several characters from the daytime soap opera. Today, it was announced that the first two of eight novellas will go on sale on Tuesday, January 28. An e-book version of each will be released worldwide. In Australia, paperback print copies will be available at the same time as the digital release.
