Born Bryton Eric McClure on August 17, 1986 to an African American father and a European American mother, Bryton James currently portrays the role of Devon Hamilton on CBS’ “The Young and the Restless.” He joined the cast in 2004.

Bryton won the 2007 Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series and the 2009 NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actor in a Daytime Drama Series for his work on “The Young and the Restless.” His previous credits include a starring role in the ABC sitcom “Family Matters” from 1990-1997 (the series moved to CBS in 1997). He portrayed the role of Ritchie Crawford on the comedy series.

In addition to his acting credits, Bryton is also a recording artist. He debuted his first single, “Ooh, The Way I Feel About You,” on the German TV series “Stars 2000″ and has performed live on numerous occasions for an international audience through appearances on television networks including Viva, ZDF 5, Giga TV and Disney Channel. He is an active spokesperson for various charities. In 1996 he founded “RADD (Recording Artists, Actors and Athletes Against Drunk Driving) Kids.” Bryton also was awarded the Michael Landon Award for his charitable contributions in the entertainment community.

CBS' "The Talk" announced today nominations for "The 43rd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards," which is scheduled to take place on Sunday, May 1. On Monday, May 2, the daytime show will host its fifth annual "After Party" with scheduled guests to be announced early Monday morning, May 2.

Get ready for a soap opera showdown. Stars from "The Young and the Restless" and "The Bold and the Beautiful" are competing against one another in CBS' Soap Mayhem Basketball Tournament on Thursday, March 10. Part of March Madness 2016, the event will stream live on the CBS Facebook page at 11:30 am ET/8:30 am PT.
Kristoff St. John (Neil Winters) has reached a milestone -- his 25th year anniversary on "The Young and the Restless." In honor of the special occasion, a gathering was held on the show's CBS sound stage, last Friday. Cast, crew, "Y&R" co-creator Lee Phillip Bell and the actor's daughters, Paris and Lola, were all on hand to celebrate the talented actor.
As we get closer to daytime's biggest night, taking place on Sunday, May 1, the industry is abuzz today over which actors were submitted for a pre-nomination for the "The 43rd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards," presented by The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS). With at least two actors per show for each category (exception being Supporting Actress) several of daytime television's biggest and brightest stars are looking to vie for the coveted trophy that celebrates their hard work during calendar year 2015.

‘Y&R’s’ Mishael Morgan Welcomes Baby Boy

Congratulations are in order for "The Young and the Restless'" Mishael Morgan (Hilary Curtis), who welcomed her son, Niam, into the world with husband, Navid. This is their first child together. "Cats out da bag #yrfanevent Introducing Niam!!! Thx 4 all your ❤️ & support during this time in my life!" wrote the actress on Twitter during last night's bi-annual biennial Fan Club Dinner for the daytime soap opera.
As previously reported, the men of CBS' "The Young and the Restless" will be appearing on the Wednesday, November 26 edition of syndicated daytime talk show, "The Queen Latifah Show." Look for "Y&R's" Peter Bergman (Jack Abbott), Justin Hartley (Adam Newman), Daniel Goddard (Cane Ashby), Bryton James (Devon Hamilton) and Joshua Morrow (Nicholas Newman) to have a sit down chat with host Queen Latifah as they talk about their best "Y&R" kisses and their first scenes. Look for Bergman to reminisce on his 25 years at the soap while Hartley shows off his famous dimples! Before the episode airs, Soap Opera Network has your first look with the men on the Sony Pictures Studios lot in Culver City, California, where the talk show is filmed.
