THE SCOOP

Get ready for a family reunion next month when Chene Lawson reprises her role as Harmony “Yolanda” Hamilton, Devon’s (Bryton James) biological mother, on “The Young and the Restless.”

Originating the role of Harmony in 2005 during the character’s drug addiction era, Lawson last appeared on the show in 2006 when Harmony left Genoa City shortly after coming onto Neil (Kristoff St. John), the man who adopted Devon alongside his wife Drucilla (Victoria Rowell). Years later, from 2011-2012, Debbi Morgan took over the role of Harmony when the character returned to town. Soon after it was revealed that Tucker McMcall (then played by Stephen Nicholas, now played by Trevor St. John) was Devon’s biological father.

With Lawson set to appear over several episodes beginning Friday, May 5, and Shemar Moore set to reprise his role as Malcolm Winters on Monday, May 8, it definitely looks like a reunion is at play for the Winters/Hamilton family.

Since departing the daytime drama series, Lawson has made a name for herself as the creator and lead voice actor for the scripted podcast series, “All Things Undone,” a 2023 Webby Award winner. Lawson portrays Mirabelle in the series. The upcoming second season will be available on Audible. For more information about the series, click here.
