Lifetime’s “Drop Dead Diva” is set to premiere its sixth and final season this March and a slew of former daytime stars have signed on to send the critically acclaimed drama series off in style.
You may remember John Wesley Shipp from his role on “One Life to Live” as the abusive father of the Ford brothers. Or you might know him from his memorable role as football coach Mitch on “Dawson’s Creek.” Before both of those roles though, John Wesley Shipp was THE FLASH! It’s been known for a while now that the CW network intends on remaking the series, but today comes word that Shipp will be playing a mystery role in the series!
Someone in the “Mistresses” casting department must be a “General Hospital” fan: former ‘GH’ stars Jason Gerhardt (ex-Coop Barrett) and Rebeka Montoya (ex-Dolores Padilla) have signed on for Season 2 of the primetime sudser.
Movie star Ryan Phillippe once broke network television ground by portraying the first openly gay teenager on a daytime soap opera. Now, for the first time since appearing as Billy Douglas on “One Life to Live,” Phillippe is set to return to an ABC series.
Hot on the heels of “All My Children’s” Susan Lucci (Erica Kane) appearing on “Oprah: Where Are They Now?” comes an appearance by former “General Hospital” actor/musician Rick Springfield (ex-Noah Drake)!
Former “General Hospital” star Nathan Parsons (ex-Ethan Lovett) is straddling sides in the great vampire/werewolf debate: In addition to recently being cast in the role of “True Blood’s” vampire James, the actor will be debuting on The CW’s “The Originals” tomorrow, Tuesday, February 4 — as a werewolf!
“The Young and the Restless” actress Cynthia Watros (Kelly Andrews) may soon be pulling television double duty: MTV has ordered a pilot featuring the former “Lost” star to series.
It’s been a whopping seven years since larger-than-life personality Rosie O’Donnell has been a part of “The View,” but executive producers Barbara Walters and Bill Geddie announced today that the actress/comedian is returning to the popular talk show!
As previously reported, soap stars Cameron Mathison (ex-Ryan Lavery, “All My Children”) and Jack Wagner (ex-Frisco Jones, “General Hospital;” ex-Dominick Marone, “The Bold and the Beautiful”) are set to star in the Hallmark Movie Channel Original movie, “My Gal Sunday,” which premieres tonight at 9:00 PM ET on the cable network.
Former “One Life to Live” actor turned “Dancing with the Stars” superstar Corbin Bleu (ex-Jeffrey King) appears in not one, but two places on TV tonight!
