“The Young and the Restless’” Chris McKenna (Det. Mark Harding) is having quite a great time solving mysteries in Genoa City, but that hasn’t stopped the actor from trying his hand at primetime — a feat he just accomplished!

As previously reported, ABC’s “The View” is currently in reinvention mode. While it gets ready to launch its new season on Monday, September 15, the show will not only have a new studio, new color scheme and logo, it’ll also have a new behind the scenes executive team who will spearhead the production of the talk show with c0-hosts Whoopi Goldberg and Rosie O’Donnell leading the way in front of the camera. The network officially announced that Bill Wolff, previously of “The Rachel Maddow Show,” will take over as executive producer. He succeeds Bill Geddie, who helmed the show from its beginnings in 1997 until this past season. Brian Balthazar, who helped launch the fourth hour of “The Today Show” has been appointed co-executive producer.

After just three seasons on the air, A&E has canceled “Longmire,” its highest rated original drama series of all time, reports Deadline’s Nellie Andreeva.

Based on the Walt Longmire Mystery novels by best-selling author Craig Johnson, the series followed its central character, Walt Longmire (Robert Taylor, “The Matrix”), the charismatic, dedicated and unflappable sheriff of Absaroka County, Wyoming. It co-starred “As The World Turns” alum Bailey Chase (ex-Chris Hughes) as Branch Connally, a deputy with political aspirations.

Best known for his portrayal of Noah Newman on CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” and Elliot Leichter on The CW’s “Gossip Girl,” actor Luke Kleintank has booked a role in the Amazon Studios pilot “The Man in the High Castle,” reports Deadline. The series hails from “The X-Files'” Frank Spotnitz and Scott Free Productions and is based on the Philip K. Dick novel of the same name.

Since joining the cast of ABC’s “General Hospital” in the recurring role of Spencer Cassadine last year, 8-year-old Nicolas Bechtel has literally stolen the spotlight from some of the veteran cast with his one liners and spot on delivery. Will he do the same when he appears on FOX’s newest comedy “Red Band Society” this fall? Earlier this week Bechtel tweeted, “Atlanta has been great. Working on @RedBandSociety was awesome. Almost time to head back to LA.” Since then fans have wondered what role he’ll end up playing on the Steven Spielberg executive produced series and Soap Opera Network has the scoop!

“Dallas’” Jesse Metcalfe (Chistopher Ewing) is one lucky man: He had the opportunity of romancing “Desperate Housewives’” Gabi (Eva Longoria), and now he’s in the running to land “Two Broke Girls’” Max (Kat Dennings)!

On Sundays all-new edition of “Oprah: Where Are They Now?” on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network, the show provides an update on the status of former “General Hospital” and “The Bold and the Beautiful” star Jack Wagner. In the episode, Wagner opens up about his real-life divorce from former “GH” on-screen love interest, Kristina Wagner (Felicia Scorpio), meeting his long-lost daughter for the first time, and his music career.
