As previously reported, Jack Wagner (“The Bold and the Beautiful,” “General Hospital,” “Melrose Place“), Wally Kurth (“Days of our Lives,” “GH”) and Eddie Cibrian (“The Young and the Restless,” “Sunset Beach“) will all be appearing on upcoming episodes of TV Land’s “Hot in Cleveland.”

In honor of “One Life to Live’s” 45th Anniversary today, July 15, Soap Opera Network has joined forces with FamousBirthdays.com to bring readers the celebratory birthday wishes relating to soap operas and assorted soapy content. Readers will be alerted of upcoming birthdays as they relate to soap operas and other forms of entertainment.

Beginning Monday, July 15 and lasting through Tuesday, July 23, stars from CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” will be tweeting live with fans during the east coast broadcast of the top-rated daytime drama series.

The onscreen comings and goings in the soap opera industry are enough to make anyone’s head spin, and the behind the scenes business is just as action packed! In fact, three soap stars have recently made bold moves by switching agencies.

Genoa City isn’t the only place that the “The Young and the Restless’” Tracey E. Bregman (Lauren Fenmore) calls home. She also has an abode in Malibu, California — but not for long! According to several sources, including LA Times and ABC News, the actress has placed the 6-bedroom home she shared with former husband Ron Recht on the market.

Set your DVRs folks, because Susan Lucci (ex-Erika Kane, “All My Children;” Genevieve Delatour, “Devious Maids”) is headed to the daytime talk show, “Katie!”

In honor of “The Young and the Restless” moving to TVGN, the network has released a new advertisement, via TV Guide Magazine, that states “Daytime Drama Is Hotter At Night.” In addition to promoting the show on TVGN, fans are asked to enter for a chance to win an exclusive “Y&R” set visit and meeting with some of the shows cast members by simply watching the soap on the network and entering a code on TVGN’s Facebook page.

The newest issue of CBS Soaps In Depth, citing multiple sources, is reporting that there may be truth to reported rumors that Michelle Stafford is leaving Phyllis Summers and “The Young and the Restless” to head to ABC’s “General Hospital.” According to one of the mags sources, “It would be a big coup to get Michelle, and ‘GH’ knows it.” This is of course in response to “Y&R” and “GH” swapping cast members. In January, Steve Burton (ex-Jason Morgan, “GH”) joined “Y&R” as Dylan McAvoy, and in April, Emme Rylan (ex-Abbie Newman) joined “GH” as Lulu Spencer.

Hot on the heels of the Supreme Court’s decision to rule that married same-sex couples are entitled to Federal benefits and that same-sex marriages are now legal in California, “The Young and the Restless’” Greg Rikaart (Kevin Fisher) sent out a tweet and photo to fans that officially confirms he’s gay.

So by now you may or may not know that same-day airings of CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” are now available on TVGN after just over seven years on SOAPnet. To keep you up-to-date with the soaps transition, we thought it best to provide new and old viewers with some tidbits on TVGN and “Y&R’s” move to its new home.

“There’s now more times to watch your two favorite soaps on SOAPnet,” is part of the lyrics used in a new SOAPnet promo highlighting additional airings of both “General Hospital” and “Days of our Lives,” with the former taking over the 7:00 PM ET/PT timeslot previously occupied by “The Young and the Restless,” which, as numerously reported, officially makes its move to TVGN beginning today, July 1. “GH” will continue airing at 9:00 PM ET/PT with “DAYS” airing at 8:00 PM ET/PT and 10:00 PM ET/PT.

As previously reported, CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” is moving to TVGN (née TV Guide Network) beginning Monday, July 1, after spending just over 7 years on SOAPnet. The soap will continue airing same-day episodes Monday through Friday at 7:00 PM ET/PT. In the just released new promo, “Y&R” fans will see Kristoff St. John’s Neil Winters and Angell Conwell’s Leslie Michaelson having a heated convo that turns to passion. In addition to the promo, TVGN has also released the full episode of “The Young and the Restless On Set: InFanity,” the special hosted by St. John that provided viewers with a behind the scenes look at the creation of Genoa City, on YouTube.

Ratings Report for the Week of June 17-21, 2013

Hot on the heels of TVGN’s “The Young and the Restless On-Set: inFANity” special celebrating the network’s acquisition of “Y&R” (whose same day evening episodes are moving from SoapNet to TVGN beginning Monday, July 1 at 7PM ET/PT) comes the much anticipated “Countdown to the Young and the Restless” special, which features a live audience asking questions of the sudser’s biggest stars!

In a tweet by Doug Davidson (Paul Williams), the actor revealed that CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” has placed a placard on dressing room 41C, which was the late Jeanne Cooper’s (Katherine Chancellor). The placard honors the life of the actress, who died on Wednesday, May 8 after a brief illness. The placard read, “Jeanne Cooper Dressing Room – The Door Was Always Open.”

If you loved her as “The Young and the Restless’” Mary Jane Benson/Patty Williams, you’ll love Stacy Haiduk in ABC Family’s “Twisted,” a murder mystery drama in which the actress has joined on a recurring basis.

It’s not every day that you’ll see daytime stars going rebel and giving the bird, but that’s all about to change. In support of The Friend Movement, a grassroots anti-bullying organization, several sudser stars have posed for provocative photos in which they give the camera — and bullying — the bird.

In an age of multi-tasking, it’s always nice to be able to do two great things in the time it takes to do one. And guess what? “The Young and the Restless’” Greg Rikaart is offering fans the chance to do just that!
