Recently ousted from CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” after just five months back on the job, David Tom (Billy Abbott) reveals in an exclusive interview with CBS Soaps In Depth the reason he was let go from the drama series and whether or not he’d be willing to give daytime another shot.

Now that Michelle Stafford has signed on to portray the contract role of Nina Clay on ABC’s “General Hospital,” it was only a matter of time before CBS’ “The Young and the Restless” opted to recast her Daytime Emmy Award winning role. Earlier this month the soap announced they were doing just that after putting out a casting call for the role, which was recently landed by soap veteran Gina Tognoni.
Just as the long memorial day holiday weekend was getting ready to begin word broke that “The Young and the Restless” was recasting the role of Billy Abbott. A representative for the show had no comment when contacted, but Soaps In Depth is reporting that Bradford Anderson is heading back to ABC’s “General Hospital” as Damian Spinelli for a brief appearance.
As previously reported, former “All My Children” star Robert Scott Wilson (ex-Pete Cortlandt) is joining the cast of NBC’s “Days of our Lives” as a recast Ben Rogers. The actor replaces Justin Gaston, who in real-life is married to “The Young and the Restless’” Melissa Ordway (Abby Newman). Gaston was let go after his 13-week contract cycle was not picked up.
