Comings & Goings

“All My Children” and “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” alum Sarah Michelle Gellar to play the Grim Reaper in supernatural romance film “Thud,” with Rudy Pankow as the devil.

Rumors had been swirling all weekend and now Soap Opera Digest is reporting that former “All My Children” actor, and “The Price is Right” male model, Robert Scott Wilson (ex-Pete Cortlandt) has joined the cast of NBC’s “Days of our Lives” as a recast Ben Rogers. He replaces daytime newcomer Justin Gaston, who in real-life is married to “The Young and the Restless'” Melissa Ordway (Abby Newman).

Soap Opera Digest is reporting that CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful” will once again welcome Hunter Tylo back to its canvas as the storyline of Aly (Ashlyn Pearce) dealing with the death of her mother, Darla (Schae Harrison), continues to play out on screen and kicks into high gear particularly during May Sweeps. Per the publication, citing a show spokesperson, Tylo is expected to re-appear as Taylor Hayes Forrester beginning Friday, April 25.

There’s been a lot of onscreen talk about the possibility of “The Young and the Restless’” Adam Newman having survived the car crash that presumably killed him, meaning there’s a chance the show will in fact be recasting the character. And according to a recent casting call put out by the sudser, they’re on the hunt for a dashing leading man. But will it be a replacement for Michael Muhney, who departed the role in January?

After “General Hospital’s” A.J. Quartermaine was shot and put into critical condition by Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) a few weeks ago, fans began speculating if this could be the end of the line for the long-time Port Charles resident. Even so, it comes as a shock today that A.J.’s portrayer, Sean Kanan, has confirmed that he will be leaving “GH” at the end of this month to return to his role on “The Bold and the Beautiful.”

Eileen Davidson may have just returned to the set of “Days of our Lives” to reprise her role as Kristen DiMera (to air later this summer), but that’s not the only sudser she’ll be appearing on: She’s heading back to “The Young and the Restless” as Ashley Abbott later this month — and Beth Maitland (Traci Abbott) will be joining her!
