According to a report by TV Guide’s Michael Logan, former “Guiding Light” and “All My Children” star Ricky Paull Goldin is joining the cast of CBS’ “The Bold and the Beautiful” in the recurring role of Jesse, who is the “badass” daddy of Maya’s (Karla Mosley) child. Per a “B&B” rep, Jesse “will arrive on the scene, see Maya with Rick [Jacob Young] and immediately get jealous.” Goldin is expected to begin filming scenes this week with a first airdate set for Monday, May 15.

Background: Errol is one of the premier voices covering all five daily daytime dramas, including "Beyond the Gates," "The Bold and the Beautiful," "Days of our Lives," "General Hospital" and "The Young and the Restless." He began watching soaps in 1993, around the time Luke and Laura Spencer returned to “General Hospital,” but they weren’t what got him watching regularly. “It was Lucy Coe and her duck Sigmond,” he says of how he got started with soaps.
He received his BA from Baruch College, double-majoring in English Literature and Journalism, and double-minoring in Communications and Psychology. He also holds an AA in Business Administration.
On Monday, March 18, “One Life to Live” begins filming for the first time in more than a year. Returning star Jerry verDorn (Clint Buchanan) posted pictures from the set, which shows construction underway (the soap was reportedly building sets last week) along with a look into what “All My Children’s” sets are expected to look like as well as some key sets (namely the hospital and coffee shop) will be shared by both series (with alterations). It’s understood that crew members will help transition certain sets from one show to another depending on which soap is currently in production.
Robert Newman addressed fan inquiries on Facebook earlier today over his possible involvement in either “All My Children” or “One Life to Live,” which are essentially filming in his backyard of Stamford, CT. The inquiries were from fans of the cancelled Proctor & Gamble produced soap “Guiding Light,” which Newman starred off and on for nearly 30 years as Joshua Lewis.
Soon after Soap Opera Network reported that TOLN had revealed new logos for both “All My Children” and “One Life to Live,” the production company has now revealed more new logos. As seen on their social media sites, Twitter and Facebook, “AMC’s” initial logo now has life put into it instead of a plain white background, while “OLTL” is now at the center between heaven (black) and hell (red). The theme for “One Life” looks to play off of the fact that the series was originally supposed to be titled “Between Heaven and Hell” before ABC settled on the finished product way back when.
On Saturday, April 6, fans of ABC’s “General Hospital” will be able to learn more about the 50 year history of one of television’s longest running programs. On that day, ABC News will feature the soap during that night’s airing of “20/20,” Soap Opera Network has learned.
For those that don’t know him or have yet to discover him, Robert Scott Wilson is both a model and an actor. In September 2012, Wilson won the coveted position as the first-ever male model on “The Price is Right.” The game show hosted by Drew Carey, currently in its 41st season on CBS, issued an open casting call for male models in Los Angeles in August of last year and hundreds of hopefuls showed up. After being narrowed down to just 26 individuals, the men competed in a series of challenges that were featured on priceisright.com. Such challenges included writing and singing original lyrics based on the theme music from the iconic series. Ultimately, Wilson beat out finalists Clint Brink and Nick Denbeigh and began a week-long stint in mid-October, which has since turned into a regular gig. When news first broke that Wilson would be joining the cast of “All My Children” in the contract role of Peter Cortlandt, one could only wonder if he would be departing the game show after such a short period of time. Wonder no more as the actor tells Soap Opera Network, he’ll be doing both!

As previously reported, singer/actor Corbin Bleu has joined the cast of TOLN’s “One Life to Live” in the contract role of Jeffrey King. The actor released the following statement to his 338,000+ Facebook followers:
“I’m very excited about joining the “One Life to Live’ family and beginning a new chapter in the shows long history. I can’t wait to meet the entire talented cast & crew and begin filming at ‘One Life to Live.”
As expected, The OnLine Network (TOLN) has released new logos for “All My Children” and “One Life to Live.” New opening sequences (length TBD) are also expected to be released when the shows debut on Monday, April 29 at 12:00 PM ET on Hulu, Hulu Plus and iTunes.
