Background: Errol is one of the premier voices covering all five daily daytime dramas, including "Beyond the Gates," "The Bold and the Beautiful," "Days of our Lives," "General Hospital" and "The Young and the Restless." He began watching soaps in 1993, around the time Luke and Laura Spencer returned to “General Hospital,” but they weren’t what got him watching regularly. “It was Lucy Coe and her duck Sigmond,” he says of how he got started with soaps.

He received his BA from Baruch College, double-majoring in English Literature and Journalism, and double-minoring in Communications and Psychology. He also holds an AA in Business Administration.

Fans of ABC’s “General Hospital” will once again need to make an immediate adjustment to their DVRs as ABC News will interrupt a portion of today’s (April 29) episode of the soap opera as they bring viewers live coverage of the controversy surrounding Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling, which has been the lead story by most news outlets in recent days. It is understood that the partial preemption coincides with NBA Commissioner Adam Silver addressing the news media about the sports organization’s findings following an investigation into racist remarks allegedly made by Sterling. The preemption is expected to take place around 2:00 PM, EST.

Now through Tuesday, May 13, fans of “The Young and the Restless'” Eric Braeden (Victor Newman) can bid for a charity lunch for two with the legendary actor at a Los Angeles area restaurant to benefit the Robert F. Kennedy Center Spring Auction for Human Rights. Those interested can take part in the bid, which is valued at $2,000, by visiting CharityBuzz.com. The current bid for the auction stands at $1,100.

In CBS’ newest comedy hit, “Friends with Better Lives,” a group of friends who are either married, divorced, newly engaged or single, secretly question who has it better? With that in mind, on its official website for the series, CBS asks fans to answer that very question in relation to several of its popular series and its characters, including “The Young and the Restless” and “The Bold and the Beautiful.”

Rumors had been swirling all weekend and now Soap Opera Digest is reporting that former “All My Children” actor, and “The Price is Right” male model, Robert Scott Wilson (ex-Pete Cortlandt) has joined the cast of NBC’s “Days of our Lives” as a recast Ben Rogers. He replaces daytime newcomer Justin Gaston, who in real-life is married to “The Young and the Restless'” Melissa Ordway (Abby Newman).

Soap Opera Network has learned exclusively that veteran soap stars Ronn Moss, Sean Kanan, Judi Evans and Patrika Darbo have joined the cast of LANY Entertainment’s “The Bay: The Series,” which premieres Chapter 12 on Thursday, May 1 with episodes running a bit longer in length than they had in prior chapters (episodes will now run between 17-20 minutes, typical for a weekly 1/2 hour series excluding commercials).
