(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — After scheduling conflicts reportedly kept her from reprising her signature role of housewife turned hooker Karen Wolek on “One Life to Live” in show’s final months on the air, Judith Light is finally coming back to Llanview…sort of. On Friday, January 13, just three hours before the final “One Life” episode airs, Light will set down on “The View” with several of her former co-stars to recall some of her fondest memories of the soap she called home from 1977-1983.

Also participating in the hour-long tribute to all things Llanview will be Erika Slezak (Viki), who will be co-hosting the show, as well as Robin Strasser (ex-Dorian), Kassie DePaiva (Blair), James DePaiva (ex-Max), Hillary B. Smith (Nora), Robert S. Woods (Bo), and “OLTL” creator Agnes Nixon.

According to a press release, “the show will also feature additional ‘surprise’ appearances; exclusive, never-before-seen footage of the final taping; never-before-seen interviews with some of the special guest stars and returning cast members; an exclusive sneak peek clip of the final broadcast of ‘One Life to Live;’ the last cast photograph, and a special video taped messages from past stars. A musical montage will showcase some of the show’s most memorable moments.”

In addition, the show’s audience for that episode, which will be taped on Thursday, January 12, will be composed solely of “One Life to Live” fans. Click here to request your tickets for the show, and you can leave your comments on “The View’s” homepage, telling who and what you would like to see in the episode, here.

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — Hillary B. Smith (Nora) opens up to Entertainment Weekly about the decision by Prospect Park not to proceed with previous plans to relaunch “One Life to Live” online after it ends its ABC Daytime run on January 13, 2012, and what the future would have held for her alter ego.

“It was a noble attempt and I believe they really wanted to do this,” the actress tells EW, and admits that she believed the production company was “biting off a lot” by planning continue “OLTL” and sister soap “All My Children” on the Internet. “I’m just sad for the fans. I think this was a very ambitious project for a company with no history of the technology. I do wish there had been more communication between the company and those who’d signed on. We were finding out a lot in the press.”

Smith also revealed that she had previously reached a tentative deal with Prospect Park to continue with the show, alongside 13 of her “One Life” co-stars, during the soap’s transition and that she and onscreen husband Robert S. Woods (Bo) filmed different ending for their characters. “I can’t say [if it'll be satisfying enough if there's no continuation]. I don’t know exactly the whole ending. I want to be able to watch it myself. I know that they shot a couple of different endings for Bo and I. I have an idea which they’ll use. But I don’t know the ending for the show,” she adds.

As for the last seven weeks of “One Life’s” television run, Smith encourages fans to keep watching until the last episode airs. “We’re still here through January. I want them to enjoy this journey. It’s really going to be fun through the end. It’d be nice if a knight in shining armor came riding up to save us but even if that doesn’t happen, it will be a fun ride to the end.”

Even though I was tossed out after all that time, I too, would like to say what a great way to spend most of my adult life and I wouldn’t change it for the world. There are only some people that I wish nothing but the best in the future and for the others….well I don’t want to sound bitter but ….. As Bob Hope said, ‘Thanks for the memories.’”

(SoapOperaNetwork.com) — “One Life to Live” tells its Thanksgiving story this year from a unique point-of-view. On Wednesday, November 23, the still comatose Matthew Buchanan (Eddie Alderson) narrates the tale of how the residents of Llanview are celebrating Thanksgiving 2011.

As we first reported in October, after a number of weeks of the absence of his character from the canvas, Alderson recently returned to “One Life” studios to tape more scenes to air this month. When Matthew “returns” to the screen, his condition appears unchanged as his parents Bo (Robert S. Woods) and Nora  (Hillary B. Smith) commemorate the holiday at their son’s bedside.

Also in the episode, fun and laughter bring some Llanview residents closer together, while others spend the day trying to raise the spirits of those in need of a little thoughtfulness and love, and still others reflect on their history together. However, Thanksgiving isn’t all happiness for one family, whose holiday takes a deadly turn, changing their lives forever.
