      B&B Recap: Tuesday, June 28, 2011

( — "The Bold and the Beautiful" Episode Recap — Tuesday, June 28, 2011.

Liam and Bill came by the Malibu house. Amber told them that Rosie was with Marcus. Liam asked how he was handling it. Amber said he's still in shock. She then told them to get on with what they came here for, which was to give her the boot. "I'm already packed." she said. "Good." Bill replied. Liam stepped away and called Hope to tell her to come by. Hope, who was still with Steffy arguing, told her she had to go. Steffy told Hope that she didn't want her to be heartbroken over her parents reunion. Hope told Steffy that she'd be the one who ends up heartbroken because Ridge belongs with her mother, not Taylor. Meanwhile, Amber came downstairs at the Malibu house with her bags packed. Bill snarked at her. Hope arrived and Amber told her she was sorry and hoped to make it up to her some day. Bill wasn't having any of it and fiercely told her to leave. Before leaving, Amber said she's starting a new life now taking care of her precious baby. She asked them to all say prayers for her. Bill clapped with glee when she left and suggested they call a hazmat crew to come and disinfect the house. Liam was stoked when Bill told him that he and Hope could keep the keys to the house. Bill left and Liam and Hope celebrated. "I want to make this the summer of our lives." Liam said.

Dayzee stopped by Brooke's home at her request. She asked what happened with her and Ridge. Brooke didn't want to talk about it. Brooke told Dayzee that she wanted her to be on the board of her new foundation.

Over at Taylor's house, Taylor confided in Stephanie that she wanted her wedding to be small. Stephanie was to distracted to listen. Taylor asked if she was ok. Stephanie said she was. Taylor noted that Eric told her she was coughing the other night. Stephanie said she goes in for all of her check ups and that she's fine. Taylor tried to cheer Stephanie up by asking her to be her matron of honor at the wedding. Stephanie gladly accepted but wondered about Steffy. Taylor said she wanted both of them to be it. Just then, Stephanie got a call from Brooke who said she needed to talk to her. Ridge came in as Stephanie was leaving. Before leaving, Stephanie hugged him and told him she wants him to be happy. Taylor told Ridge that she thinks Stephanie's been acting strange lately. Ridge said he hasn't been paying much attention. He told Taylor that he went to see Brooke and told her about the proposal. He talked about how difficult it was. Steffy arrived home as her parents hugged. Taylor asked her daughter to be her maid of honor. Steffy accepted and was excited. Taylor told her that her Grandmother would be standing beside her. Steffy wanted to go talk with her about it but Taylor said she was with Brooke. Later, Taylor sat with Ridge, who was sullen. He said he felt like his whole world has turned upside down and that he can't hold onto his bearings. He added that he didn't know how he could cope with all this without her. Taylor said she was ready to be his wife and would marry him right now if he wanted. Ridge said soon. "I want my famiy back. I want you." he told her. They kissed.

Stephanie arrived at Brooke's, along with Nick and Jackie who were there to help with the foundation. As the meeting commenced, Jackie and Dayzee noticed Stephanie's reluctance to the idea and wondered how she could be so hesitant towards Brooke's gesture. RJ came downstairs and asked Brooke to read him the book his dad always reads him. She told him to go get the book. Brooke decided to end the meeting but asked Stephanie to stay awhile longer. Brooke told Stephanie that it's been a difficult transition for RJ. Stephanie said she'd support in any way she could. Brooke said she lies awake at night and tries to remember what happened on the island. Stephanie told her not to obsess over it. Brooke told Stephanie she was grateful and lucky to have her in her life. "You changed my life, and I will always love and respect you for that," Brooke told her. She hugged her. Stephanie looked on with a guilty face.

Tuck: 'I Would Absolutely Go Back' to 'One Life to Live'

( — While at least one former “One Life to Live” has reportedly turned down offers to return to the soap in its final months on the air, another actress says she “would definitely jump at the chance” to return to Llanview a final time. In a new interview with Access Hollywood, Jessica Tuck, fondly remembered by “One Life” fans for her role of Megan Gordon Harrison, discusses the possibility of returning to her daytime roots.

From 1988-92, Tuck portrayed the feisty, outspoken secret daughter of Victoria Lord (Erika Slezak), only to have her character die from complication of lupus in one of the most touching scenes in “OLTL” history. Tuck would reprise the role of Megan, albeit in spiritual form, in 1993, 1999, and 2004 (she had also planned on making a cameo as part of of the show’s 40th anniversary celebration in 2008, but was forced to pass due to a scheduling conflict). “They brought me back as a ghost, as a spirit, in dreams. I mean, when you’re doing a soap, you can pretty [much] create any opportunity to come back, I think,” Tuck tells the entertainment news site of her previous guest appearances on the show. The role earned a Soap Opera Digest Award nomination in 1990 and a Daytime Emmy Award nod in 1992.

When asked if she would be open to returning to the show again before it wraps production later this year, and enthusiastic Tuck replied that “If they invited me, absolutely I would go back. It’s very sad that [the show is ending in] I guess January… That’s coming up fast. It was such a great ride and I loved being there so if they wanted me to dip back in for a moment or two, I would definitely jump at the chance.”

In addition to “One Life to Live,” Tuck also appeared on “Days of our Lives” in 2010. Outside of daytime, she currently plays Nan Flanagan, president of the American Vampire League on the HBO series “True Blood.” Other television appearances include “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Boston Legal,” “Saving Grace,” “The Nanny,” and “October Road.”  She also portrayed Sharpay’s (Ashley Tisdale) mother in Disney’s “High School Musical” movie franchise, along with its sequel, “Sharpay’s Fabulous Adventure,” which was released on DVD on May 22.

Spiderman Casts His Web on Llanview

( — Is the masked Marvel Comics superhero bringing his “spidey sense” to Llanview to save the town’s unsuspecting residents from impending peril? Not really, but a dayplayer in a Spiderman costume will be making an appearance on the show soon, much to delight of a certain Llanview tyke.

Matt McGorry posted last month on his website that he had just “Booked a recurring role in 3 episodes on ABC’s ‘One Life To Live’ playing Spiderman.” The episodes will air in mid-July when his character is hired to entertain at a child’s birthday party. However, an incident that occurs just before he is set to perform, could place several Llanview residents in danger.

Lavoisier: 'I'll Be There Until the End' of 'OLTL'

( — With his on and off screen fiancé Farah Fath (Gigi Morasco) leaving “One Life to Live,” fans have begun to speculate on John-Paul Lavoisier‘s status with the show as well. The actor, however, tries to put the rumors to rest by setting the record straight with Soap Opera Digest.

“I think [the powers that be] want me to go out with the show. I think I’ll be there until the end,” Lavoisier tells the magazine, despite recent speculation that he was leaving “One Life” this fall. The actor originated the role of Rex Balsom in 2002.

As for Gigi, Fath reveals in the same interview that, despite the fact that her character is about to become plant food after Rex makes a bargain with Clint (Jerry verDorn) to get her heart, that “I can’t say that I’m 100% done with the show.” Fath echoed those same sentiments earlier this month in an interview with Soap Opera Weekly.

ABC Soap Won’t See the ‘Light’

ABC Soap Won't See the 'Light'

( — Despite being a part of one of the most memorable scenes in “One Life to Live” history and topping many fan lists as the actress they would most like to see return to Llanview, veteran actress Judith Light has reportedly turned down not one, but two offers from the show asking her to reprise her breakthrough role of housewife turned prostitute Karen Wolek.

Despite often fondly recalling her time on “One Life to Live,” Daytime Confidential is reporting that Light recently told the show thanks, but no thanks when they asked her back for one final appearance on the show before it wraps up production in November. She is said to have rejected a similar offer to return as part of “One Life’s” 40th anniversary celebration back in 2008. Speculation is that her decision may be partly based on the fact that, after nearly thirty years living away from Llanview, should Karen come back to town she would only know a small handful of people. However, Kim Zimmer faced a similar scenario when she reprised the role of Echo Di Savoy last October after a twenty-seven year absence from the show, and look how that turned out.

Light took over the role in 1977, one year after the gold-digging Karen first stepped foot in Llanview as the sister of the spiritual and kind-hearted Jenny Wolek. After getting romantically involved with her distant cousin Dr. Larry Wolek, however, Karen was soon blackmailed into a life of turning tricks by her former lover Marco Dane. The storyline would ultimately lead to the Karen’s infamous 1979 witness stand admission to a shocked courtroom (as well as hubby Larry) that she was a hooker, while testifying on behalf of her good friend Victoria Lord, who stood falsely accused of Marco’s murder (it turned out later that Marco’s twin brother was the one that had been murdered). Karen left town in 1983, and was never heard from again.

Light’s portrayal of Karen earned her two Daytime Emmy Awards for Leading Actress, as well as two Soapy Awards. After leaving “OLTL,” she went on to a successful television and stage career, starring in “Who’s the Boss?,” “Ugly Betty,” and “Law & Order: SVU.” Earlier this year she earned a Tony Award for her part in the Broadway production of “Lombardi.” Light has also long been an outspoken champion of gay rights.

                Donna Svennevik/ABC

( — While it remains to be seen if his character is really Todd Manning or an imposter, after nearly a decade in Llanview, Trevor St. John announces on his official blog that he is leaving the show later this summer, stating that “One Life to Live” has chosen not to renew his contract as the show prepares to wind down production this fall.

In a post earlier today, St. John writes that “I want to let you know that my current contract on ‘One Life to Live’ is coming to an end and my last shooting day on the show will likely come the week of July 18th. Although I expressed an interest in continuing to perform on the show beyond the aforementioned date the producers have decided they’d rather press on without me. I don’t think I can adequately express my gratitude to all of you who have supported me for the last eight years. It’s been my great honor and pleasure to play the character of Todd. And I can only hope that I served you well and that I did you proud. I’ve also enjoyed the pleasure of meeting many of you in person through the years and I hope we have the opportunity to meet again as my career progresses. But to all of you who have been there for me in person or in spirit — I thank you. Your’s truly, Trevor.”

How this decision will affect the ongoing “Tale of Two Todds” storyline, which also features the recently returned Roger Howarth (who originated the role in 1992), remains to be seen, however fans can expect the storyline to heat up in the coming weeks as the two “Todds” finally come face-to-face.

A final airdate for St. John is unknown at this time. The actor took over the role of the facially reconstructed Todd Manning in 2003, at which time he also played his double, Walker Laurence, who eventually met with foul play. Or did he?

Soap Opera Network will continue to follow the story and bring you details as they develop.

                Soap Opera Network

( — On Thursday, June 23, “Days of our Lives” fans finally got their first glimpse of actor Freddie Smith and his character Sonny Kiriakis, despite the NBC drama series keeping mum on the actors casting for more than two months. On Sunday, June 19, on the red carpet at the “38th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards,” Smith opened up about what it was like keeping such a big secret, portraying the shows first gay character and whether or not his character will be hooking up with Will Horton (Chandler Massey) as rumored.

“Sometimes I’ll go into ‘Days of our Lives’ and work three hours, where like ’90210′ you work 15 hours. So it’s two different sides of the spectrum, but they’re both great though,” said Smith about the differences of working on a daily serial compared to working on a weekly primetime hour-long series. But what about the rumors of who Sonny will be hooking up with (Will being the most talked about)? “There’s been so many rumors and I don’t know. I’ve been filming for two months…I have no idea yet. I’m like waiting to see.”

( — Casey Deidrick portrays Chad DiMera on the popular NBC daytime drama series “Days of our Lives” and he’s grateful to be in the company of some fine actors. Soap Opera Network spoke with Deidrick on the red carpet at the “38th Annual Daytime Emmy Awards” on Sunday, June 19 and the actor shared some interesting information about the parties being held during Emmy weekend, the upcoming gay storyline hitting “DAYS” and the rumors surrounding co-star Chandler Massey, whose character, Will Horton, is said to play a major role in it.

“They don’t tell us actors much,” said Deidrick when asked about the gay storyline hitting the show. “I do know there is something in the works. I’m not sure if it is Chandler Massey or another character, but I’m really looking forward to it and I think it’s going to be a great storyline.”
