ABC Family has given a series order to “Recovery Road,” a scripted drama that follows a teenage party girl named Maddie who doesn’t think she has a problem until one day she’s confronted by her guidance counselor, who forces her to choose between expulsion and rehab as the best way for her to deal with her addiction problems. The series is based on the young adult novel of the same name written by author Blake Nelson.

When the fourth season of ABC Family’s “Switched at Birth” premieres next month it will be on a new day and at a new time, the network announced today. “Birth” will begin airing Tuesdays at 9:00 PM ET/PT beginning January 6, following the winter season premiere of the network’s “Pretty Little Liars.”

When CBS announced earlier this year that it had picked up a new drama series from Vince Gilligan (“Breaking Bad”) and David Shore (“House”), and that it would star former “All My Children” actor Josh Duhamel (ex-Leo du Pres), “Guiding Light’s” Aubrey Dollar (ex-Marina Cooper) and Dean Winters (“Oz,” “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit”), the network would only say that the series, “Battle Creek,” would air sometime in midseason. Last week the network announced that the series will air on Sundays at 10:00 PM ET/PT, beginning March 1. The series replaces “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation,” which currently occupies the timeslot and will air its season finale two weeks prior to the launch of “Battle Creek.”

While Eileen Davidson (“Days of our Lives,” “The Young and the Restless”) won’t be appearing on the reality series until its third episode, Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” managed to snag its highest-rated season premiere in over three years, according to Nielsen Media Research ratings data, with 2 million total viewers tuning in, up 25 percent from the prior season premiere (11/4/13), on Tuesday, November 18. The renewed success of “Beverly Hills Housewives” follows the recent performance of “The Real Houseweives of Atlanta,” which premiered its seventh season on Sunday, November 9 and became the network’s highest-rated season premiere in Bravo history with over 4.5 million total viewers (based on L+3 ratings data) and 2.7 million Adults 18-49 (based on L+3 ratings data), up 26 percent and 27 percent respectively from the season six premiere.

On Sunday, November 23, OWN’s “Oprah: Where Are They Now?” will feature former “Family Ties” star Meredith Baxter, who is currently appearing as Maureen on CBS’ “The Young and the Restless.” The episode picks up from Baxter’s 2011 appearance on “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” where Baxter opened up about coming out as a lesbian. In “Where Are They Now?” the actress talks candidly about life with her wife of two years and the influence of her 1980’s sitcom.

Lifetime announced last week that it wasn’t moving forward with a third season of “Witches of East End,” reports Deadline. The series followed a new generation of witches based on the book of the same name. Featuring former “Days of our Lives” and “Revenge” actor, Eric Winter, “Witches” ended its second season in early October.
