While the date for the 42nd Annual Daytime Emmy Awards wasn't necessarily a secret, it was still somewhat surprising when it was revealed that next year's Daytime Creative Arts Emmy Awards would be taking place on <strong>Friday, April 24</strong> and the big show would be taking place on<strong> Sunday, April 26</strong> - the earliest either ceremony will have taken place since at least 2006.<strong> </strong>In an interview with <strong>David Michaels</strong>, Senior Executive Director and Co-Executive Producer for the Daytime Emmy Awards & Events, who notes to <em>Soap Opera Network</em> that we can likely thank "The Young and the Restless'"<strong> Christian Le Blanc</strong> (Michael Baldwin) for revealing the dates online, the executive addresses the red carpet debacle that rocked the industry earlier this year, while also providing insight into what we can look forward to seeing from both the creative side and the broadcast side for next year's telecast, and a greater understanding of how four new categories will change the future of the awards ceremony.

They can barely admit that they are couple, at least based on the more common definition of what a couple is, but no one can deny that Peter Garrett (Kristos Andrews) and Janice Ramos (Lilly Melgar) have become one of the hottest pairings in recent memory on LANY Entertainment's "The Bay," the widely popular online series created by Gregori J. Martin. Dubbed "Jeter," Soap Opera Network recently spoke with their portrayers on what sets them apart from other couples on the show, why their characters are rootable and where they're heading next. We also asked the duo to share some secrets behind their passionate onscreen love scenes, and of course, if there were any "oops" moments. While getting insight on what fans can expect overall from the newest chapter, set to release tomorrow, May 1, the actors also open up about how being online vs. airing on broadcast/cable television may help or hurt their show.

Soap Opera Network has learned exclusively that veteran soap stars Ronn Moss, Sean Kanan, Judi Evans and Patrika Darbo have joined the cast of LANY Entertainment's "The Bay: The Series," which premieres Chapter 12 on Thursday, May 1 with episodes running a bit longer in length than they had in prior chapters (episodes will now run between 17-20 minutes, typical for a weekly 1/2 hour series excluding commercials).
