Kelly Thiebaud

If you tuned into today’s episode of ABC’s “General Hospital,” you may be wondering if this is really the last you’ll be seeing of Britt Westbourne now that she’s departed Port Charles with her father, Cesar Faison (Anders Hove), after leaving her mother, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati), emotionally devastated. While “GH” never officially confirmed Kelly Thiebaud‘s departure prior to today’s episode, the actress took to her Instagram page to say goodbye to fans of the Britch!

Brandon Barash, General Hospital, Johnny Zacchara

As previously reported, Brandon Barash is reprising the role of Johnny Zacchara on ABC’s “General Hospital” and it looks like he’s set to mark his return this week when Johnny comes face to face with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), at least that’s how it appears in the promo for this week’s worth of episodes. “Wait. What? Johnny’s back this week?!” tweeted Barash shortly after the promo was released.

Fans have long wondered when “General Hospital’s” contract cast would be a receiving a trimming, as it’s widely known that the series has quite a large group of actors that make up the Port Charles canvas, but it was anyone’s guess whose status would be changed. Soap Opera Network has learned that actors Marc Anthony Samuel (Felix DuBois), Kelly Thiebaud (Britt Westbourne) and John J. York (Mac Scorpio) have all been placed on recurring status. In the case of Thiebaud and Samuel, their status change will be reflected in the on air credits in the coming weeks. York has been listed as a recurring cast member since early October.

On “General Hospital,” Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) desperately wants to find out if Ava (Maura West) is really pregnant before he shoots her following last week’s revelation that she, not AJ, was responsible for the death of his former lover, Connie Falconeri. In a newly released video preview highlighting scenes airing during the week of June 2, Sonny and Ava go to General Hospital to visit her OB-GYN, Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), who informs them that they’ll be able to find out with absolute certainty whether she’s actually pregnant.

Beginning Thursday, May 8 and running through Tuesday, May 13, ABC’s “General Hospital” will present the 2014 Nurses Ball sponsored by Yoplait Greek Yogurt. ABC.com recently published photos on its website providing viewers with a sneak peek at the event as well as some behind the scenes shots.

“General Hospital’s” Emme Rylan (Lulu Spencer) is no stranger to heartbreaking baby loss storylines. As “Guiding Light’s” Lizzie Spaulding, she had to play out the emotional arc in which Lizzie believed her daughter, Sarah, had died in a car accident. And while Rylan is proud of the work she was able to bring as her Springfield alter ego, she’s of the opinion that now having two children of her own (Jackson, 4, and Levi, 2) is making her current baby-loss storyline much stronger.

With “General Hospital’s” 13,000th episode just around the corner — on Monday, February 24, to be exact — Tyler Christopher (Nikolas Cassadine) and Rebecca Herbst (Elizabeth Webber) sat down with reporters to dish on everything from Nikolas’ limits when it comes to Britt (Kelly Thiebaud), the return of Ric (Rick Hearst) and their hesitation to delve into Nikolas and Liz’s romantic past!
